Like the bustle of a city-chique coffee shop and roastery. can't go wrong here. Quick and efficient service, even on busy days. No faults to be found. Good experience all round.

Will not be back, this coffee place was highly recommended to me, the food was below average and all of our coffee (4) took over 40 mins to get to us and were cold! We returned them and another 20mins we got another cold coffee and average over priced food.

I love the cafe with its vibrant atmosphere and fun and extremely helpful service. Our waiter was a treasure and normally we don't tip but felt we simply had to show our gratitude for the experience we had. The menu had great variety and I loved the different options for eggs bene. The eggs were so good as was our... More

My friend and I had just done a big walk up Mt Vic and we were starving for something yummy for breakfast but not to expensive as we are very poor students and she had mention Caffe L'affare and we had both never been but had heard great things about it. We were both very surprised at how big it... More

For some years this cafe and restaurant has been a staple of good coffee and dining experiences on the east and slightly industrial side of town. Weekends are a lottery for those who don't fancy shelling out and attempting to cooly relax and attempt to catch up with friends, to the tune of spoilt children screaming. The last time however... Visited with partner for brunch. Very busy place. Service good considering numbers. Ordered pancakes which have as a basis bananas and maple syrup. Then the menu gave options preceded by the words : "Add on ..." I chose chocolate sauce and blueberry compote but asked for the sauce on the side because really only wanted the blueberry compote, especially with... More

A strong coffee aroma welcomes you the moment you step in. A rather big place that could accommodate 80 pax or so. Suitable for everyone who wants to lay back and watch time passes. Prices are within the range throughout Wellington. Lots of baguettes available at their counter as well. The staff are attentive and welcoming. The best place in... More

Established in Wellington in 1990, L'affare is a pioneer of New Zealand's celebrated café and coffee culture. Driven by an insatiable curiosity, we've covered the globe to bring the best and freshest coffee to New Zealanders. Our iconic café in College Street remains in its original location 26 years later. And in March 2016 we opened the door to our flagship Auckland roastery, café and HQ in Newmarket. Today we continue to roast locally and we continue to explore the world - all in the name of coffee.
