Probably among the healthiest of places to eat in town .. oatmeal is great for breakfast. Not cheap. Good for kids. Slightly soulless as it's quite big but like I said kids love it.

Capers has an epic reputation, just read all the other reviews. It's been a while since I have been, however the reputation is well earned. Our breakfast of Cinnamon and Raisin Bagels with cream cheese and lemon curd with fresh fruit was beautifully presented and tasted just as good. The coffee was excellent as well, highly recommended, a must visit.

Me and my family come to Rotorua from time to time and allways have a hard time to choose a good cafe to have breakfast but since a year ago capers became our most favorite place to go to the food is just amazing and the coffee is just to die for. The service is wonderful and the staff are... More

On the recommendation from a business associate, we had an evening meal and a breakfast here. The atmosphere is cafe-like, with quite a large retail area with a good selection of 'hard to find' food items etc. Our dinner included seafood chowder (as good as any we have tasted in the North Island, and a steak (cooked 'just right') and... Good interior, many selections of food. Ordered 2 breakfast meal, chicken was too dry, and so was braised lamb. Service was rather slow.

I had their Capers Constitutional (big breakfast) and a latte. It was delicious. They have a free wifi, friendly staff and a while selection of dessert. The place is crowded yet still relaxing. :-)

Capers is a great place to dine for a nice meal and enjoy a cup of coffee or take out on the go. The staff is very friendly, the breakfast menu has amazing options and I really like how they have a small shop within the restaurant. I was pleased to discover that Capers also provides some gluten free options... More
