Nice atmosphere and setting. Coffee was average and the chai latte tasteless. Though it was nice and hot Average selection of cakes

Coffee was ok.A bit weak for my liking. Food didn't look fresh in the display, so didn't feel inclined to try any of it. Good selection of mags to read. Outdoor seating with view would be nice in summer, bit chilly the day we were there.

I hit the Cafe about 35 minutes before they closed and Paris the waitress took my order. I had the Chicken and cheese sandwich which came with an incredibly complex but perfect frisee micro green salad with fresh capsicum and onions and radishes. The sandwich was served piping hot and the cheese was melted inside the sandwich over the plentiful... More

Well worth a visit. We've been coming here for many years when in Rotorua and never tire of it because it really is different. Give it a miss if your in a hurry. This is not a " Dine & dive venue". It's a place to sit and take it e to enjoy a Lunch, glass of wine or whatever.... More

Have to disagree a bit with some of the reviewers. This place was surprisingly good for a museum cafe. Yes, the service was slow...but not really slow for New Zealand. The milkshake was great as were the salads.

I came here for tea and scones. The bathhouse has an interesting history which you can read about on the menus. All the staff were helpful and well mannered, service was prompt. Coffee was well made. The scones were delicious and of great value. The juices though, are not fresh, they're bottled.

The queue was very long and the service slow. It seemed to me that requiring the person on the till taking the order to have to keep going off to get the food out of the cabinets and put them in to be heated or cross the room to put the order up was extremely inefficient. And despite being given... More

New to our tour, we'd been told about unreasonable meal costs. Bathhouse Café, outside the Rotorua Museum overlooking Government Gardens, was our first test, and we 2 had a fine lunch for NZ$ 24.50, or just under US$21. New Zealand's lunch counters seem to have 3 layers of lunch - a kitchen-cooked dish that's pricey (NZ$15+ or so), large heated... More

We had breakfast here, we ordered the porridge and the eggs Benedict. The eggs were cooked well although the hollandaise tasted like packet sauce which is a shame. The portion was a bit small to others I have had. The porridge was good and a big portion. Coffee was good and service was friendly. Would probably go back if in... More
