Get a rice dish: Berber (chicken or mixed) or the Amazigh (lamb or mixed) and you will be back again. If you get a kebab there...you will be back again. Were were traveling all of NZ, and stayed in Rotorua for 5 days, and ate here twice. It is that good, and that cheap....ITS CASH ONLY HOWEVER, SO BRING SOME,... More

We came here because of the TripAdvisor reviews and were really impressed! Humble surrounds, but the takeaways we got were all very generous serves and totally delicious!! We got the Berber & Tunisian rice meals, with chicken. I ordered the 'hot' Berber rice meal & if you like spicy food (without blowing your head off!) this is for you! Generous... More

It just an amazing restaurant located in Rotorua. I order (Amazin) which is a rice with a meat (checked-lam) and sauce in top. The rice was well cooked, the meat was melting in the mouth and the sauce was sensational. Defiantly I recommend this restaurant because of their food quality , location and price .

Excellent food at Ali Baba at affordable prices. Kascrutes and Kebabs were delicious and at $23 total was a fraction of the cost of many of the other fine meals we've enjoyed in Rotorua this trip. Small, no frills family run business that was busy and delivers good food in generous portions. Large selection of sauces to go with a... More

This was an accidental find for us but the pizzas are amazingly authentic and delicious. Ali Baba's is a very unassuming so don't be put off by the frontage it really does offer great food, value for money & the staff are lovely. We have been back several times since discovering this little gem.

We came because of the Tripadvisor reviews and we agree 100%. The food was the best food I had since I'm travelling ( past 19 month ). The staff and the owner were super friendly and gave us tips what to do and what not to do in and around Rotorua. Perfect info for Backpackers and tourists. The food itself... More

We decided to try Ali Baba's after reading other review and it did not disappoint. It's just a little hole in the wall type place. The food was so tasty and everything is made to order. I would highly recommend!!
