3 visits to Rotorua over 7 years and visited every time. Glad we returned. Excellent food, left not feeling like we would burst but full. Tasty wines and beers to go with. Better than average speed of service with drinks in particular.

Visited twice at Urbano. First time coffee was a bit strong for my liking but the following morning the coffee was much better but still not hot enough. Food yummy and options not on the menu were provided which was appreciated. Service was slow though and it took some waving before we were acknowledged by the staff. Prices were a... More

The food here was devine, fresh, really tasty and excellent quality and we didn't wait long. The waitress was nice but the Manager (assumed this as she was wearing the uniform) was blunt and cold in her approach. A real shame as she made us feel so uncomfortable we wouldn't probably go back.

Yesterday's brunch at Urbano was delightful to say the least. Dukkah crusted chicken tenders (and they were tender) sat atop the best salad I've had for a long time. A tasty blend of mesclun greens and rocket, red onion, bacon and almonds with a generous serving of a succotash of corn and edamame beans with a white balsamic and (I... More

Ok I get it, this is Rotorua and not Auckland or Sydney. When we ordered Vodka Martinis and they came back with Halloween orange drinks because they used more sweet vermouth than vodka, it was understandable and even kind of funny since they don't get that cocktail order often. Then when we ordered steaks with the sauces on the side... More

Great place for dinner. Bought a 2 course meal voucher for dinner and the options were yum. Dessert and wine were great also. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We were staying in Rotorua for a few days, we stopped here for brunch, coffees tasted great and good value. we had an Urbano Big Boy each, food was well presented, it did take a while to arrive but the place was packed. Food tasted good, all fresh ingredients. Well priced for the amount, will not hesitate to come back... More

The restaurant was recommended by the manager of our accommodation, but the main reason we chose it was it was within walking distance and it was getting late for dinner. The decor was lovely and we received a friendly welcome on arrival. Due to arriving late, we skipped entrees and went straight to mains. I opted for a vegetarian dish... More

Had lunch here, service was attentive, friendly and professional. Food gave me the impression someone had been watching Masterchef and/or was emulating Marco Pierre White. Purees, micro greens, crusts, foams etc. I don't think the Michelin star folks will be knocking anytime soon as the style eclipsed the substance. That being said, it was tasty and looked great. Recommended if... More
