Good Food Great Atmosphere for a quick business dinner. They also have a quiz night on Tuesdays. I had a Pale Ale and Bangers and Mash. Good value.

Came here as it was right next to Waikato Stadium before the Warriors game on Friday 19th May. They had a limited events menu on... with special high prices! Wedges served in a takeaway container for $16!! You're taking the piss right? I had the ribs, what a mistake. Majorly undercooked and tough. We were in a rush before the... More

The home branded beers are good, and the burgers we all had were excellent from all aspects – taste, presentation, and quality of the products. Service was good and prices equivalent to elsewhere

Meal with friend on a Friday night - good friendly service and reasonable prices. Main meal arrived a bit too quickly - hadn't finished our lovely garlic bread. One main meal could have been warmer - tasted like it had been sitting around for a bit.

We booked the private room for a family meeting and were very pleased with the service offered. We all enjoyed doing the quiz together. People enjoyed their meals - I thought the size of some helpings was not helping the obesity crisis..

Just enjoyed lunch at the Speights Ale House in Hamilton but the super delicious food was just a bonus to the amazing service. The team there were so cool with our 8 year old son which meant we could relax and enjoy our meal. A massive thanks to all the team!!!

Food was really good WHEN it finally arrived. We were told 50min wait. When a member of our group went to check on our orders, she was told that they had told us an hour and a half wait on food. There was not very many others in the place, if our group of 20 hadn't been there they would... More

Description
Speights Ale House in Hamilton is perfectly situated between two of Hamiltons great focal points; the Waikato River and Waikato Stadium.

It's the ideal place to meet before or after a stadium event, be it rugby or a concert. The bar may be modern but you'll enjoy the rustic decor with schist rock, exposed wooden beams and copper piping creating a true southern ambience.

The menu has hearty southern fare and has its own quirky personality - we reckon it's the only menu featuring 'Moa' or 'Arran's Sore Ribs'. All of which tastes even better when accompanied by and award winning Speights ale off the tap.
