Zealong is a very pleasant way for tea lovers to spend an afternoon in Hamilton. Everything is beautifully presented with gluten free options for high tea being available. It was reasonable value for money. The service was quite attentive and we didn't feel rushed.

Went here for a casual lunch with my partner. The atmosphere is welcoming, sort of like walking into your grandmas house. Our waiter explained the different types of teas very well. Our entree of the octopus balls and wakame salad was delicious! The mains were just as great. Overall I'd say the lunch was quite expensive. We didn't even have... More

We went for a Birthday of a 94 year old and the staff were very accommodating both in terms of parking and seating. The grounds and view is lovely and the staffs knowledge and understanding of the teas was very good. The food platters were great with something for everyone. We had a very enjoyable afternoon and will visit again.... More

Having now been to zealong several times I am still surprised to find an excellent teagrowing estate in NZ let alone the Waikato. The whole experience is one worth enjoying, surprisingly unpretentious but a bit pricey. Would benefit from installing a garden at the restaurant estate to add some extra value to the experience.

went there as a lark after waking up after All Blacks game....I like tea but know how it is made and how to serve it blah blah....but i've never had a chance to go to a tea plantation. unfortunately, part of it was closed but the "tea room" was open, which was actually an absolutely gorgeous restaurant with indoor and... We went with a group of 18 people one March afternoon. We sat outside under umbrellas and looked over the tea plantation. The teas were fabulous and we were able to share them around the group to try different ones. The food plates of finger food were delicious and very well presented. The waiters were very knowledgeable about the teas... More

Eight of us enjoyed afternoon High Tea for a friends birthday. For those who hadn't been previously they felt more information explanation of the teas would have been beneficial. The service was a bit slow and felt staff could have topped up the tea pots rather than the person at end of the table having to do so for us.... More
