The scenery is good, but cannot compare to Four Season Chiang Mai, where you can get a much better high tea at a cost of 25NZD.

The setting is magnificent. On the outskirts of Hamilton among the tea shrubs, ithe atmosphere is relaxing - sip away an afternoon. Presentation and food is excellent. Prices are 'high' but a person is guaranteed a special occasion.

Spent a couple of hours here enjoying the tea, wine and and high tea for our wedding anniversary. Completely unhurried which was nice, no shift system here.

The place is very pretty, it is taken care off and clean. The gardens are very pretty and is nice to walk around to have a look. About the restaurant: staff is very friendly but not efficient at all. We ordered the high tea, they changed some things on the menu... For me, it is okay but nothing great or... More

A lovely group of my lady friends and I went to this place, and had the traditional tea only, and found the experience one of a kind. The surroundings were calming and the staff were experts in tea making.

Like I said. season dependent. locality awesome but infrastructure not conducive for bad weather. Winter rains are a big dampener - not sure why a covered foyer or sheltered veranda isnt available after so many years.

My sister was visiting from London, I wanted to show her a sophisticated operation - I knew that Zeelong would be interesting to her- it's such an experience to be served the very best teas in a lovely environment. But I wasn't reckoning on us indulging in all the delicious treats on offer too. Delicious teas, complete sugar rush, happy... More

A really unique experience in NZ. If you love tea, do the full tour including tea ceremony and high tea. Just perfect. No need to say anymore.

I took my Mum here for a belated Mother's Day Signature High Tea. The food was beautifully presented and delicious and the staff were very helpful and attentive without being too intrusive. The tea is very pleasant. A great place to go for High tea.

While the tea is beautiful, the setting is like a tacky Chinese cafe that you expect when you head to eat $12 shabbu shabbu on a cheap night out. It was cold (literally and also the feel) and not that enjoyable. It looks as though the new building being built on site will house a new tea house, hopefully a... More
