We have dined here a lot and it's always top notch but tonight I reckon it was the best ever. We had the beef tartare and duck salad as entrees and the roast duck and the pork belly 3 ways as our mains. Where do I start!!! It was a taste sensation and beautifully presented. The poached pear and earl... More

We could not decide what we wanted, so we ordered 5 entrees so that we could taste a bit of everything and it was a great decision. The range of flavours were divine and we did not have one meal that we did not like.

Dined midweek at the popular restaurant. The snapper ravioli is very, very tasty. Along with the Crumbed Goats cheese entrée was enough for me. While not the cheapest as noted by others, it is good value for money. I'll be back the next time I'm in Gisborne. Cheery wait team supports a highly capable kitchen. Well worth a visit.

Warm welcome Bar / Bistro with a good not complicated menu Fish and the Duck were as good as anywhere we have had in the world Prices are top end bit not unreasonable when you consider the quality ie you pay for what you get which in this case is not quite top end but really close

Although the prices were up there it was well worth it and good size meals . The four of us all loved our meals which not only tasted divine but creative..pudding included. Will definitely be back and excited to see a class act in our hometown.

Expect tasty food served in a good cafe/bistro style (service and ambience). Expect to pay a bit more than you should. Expect too many sauces. Expect a 4 star experience, not 5. I will explain. I had a tasty steak which came with onion rings and a fresh salad. All were good. All the sauces were good. But I didn't... More

Very nice food, well presented however getting to be on the pricy side. Not for those on a budget, especially if you want a drink with your dinner. Lindauer you can buy for $9.99 on special over $40. Average glass of wine $12+

On a cold Gisborne night, it was a real pleasure to visit USSCo, with a very warm welcome from friendly staff, an impressive menu to choose from and a wine list as good as they come. The service was efficient without being rushed, the information helpful and the atmosphere first rate. All our meals were attractively served and cooked to... More

Our first visit to Gisborne for nearly 50 years and we go out for dinner at one of the best restaurants we have been to for a long time. The service was friendly and punctual. The food, my wife and I had the same dishes, was five star. I would come back to Gisborne just to go out for dinner.

OK restaurant but the seat I was on had masking tape over a tear! Service OK, nothing special. Wife had the fish which was good and I had the steak which was terrible, I asked for well done and it was on one side and as I worked my way across it (I say worked as it was pretty tough)... More
