After a walk round the roomy and well laid out book repository, a trip up the stairs reveals a pleasant cafe with great coffee and a diverse choice of food.

Perfect sitting on the sunny balcony. Yammy caramel walnut slice and good coffee. The place to be and watch the Gisborne streetlife.

Very good service and standard cafe fare. The staff could do their banal chatter in the open kitchen a little more quietly, though. I like the outside seating on the verandah.

I have eaten here before. It was initially a surprise to find a café inside a book shop. The food was very nice and the staff were very friendly. Nice place for a quick lunch.
