We were there for a lunch on Sunday, the place was busy but we found a table with ocean view :) We had starters (Tomato + Mozzarella) that we originally found a bit expensive but then when we tasted... ..conclusion: it was worth it! Then we had main: pastas (one seafood and one vegetarian) Both were just excellent, size of... More

This is a casual licensed restaurant, loved by the locals because there is no pretense. If you want silver service, this is not for you. Food is great and my group of 6 had a wide range of courses from the menu from full a la cart style dishes to Pizza all with an Italian style. Go there to enjoy... More

Not easy to find good Italian in our opinion.... Scalinis is EXCELLENT. We've had the veal scallopini several times, spaghetti bolognese for the first time last night, chicken parmigiana, tortellini, steak salad.... the sauces are homemade and the food and service are outstanding!!! Great little neighbourhood restaurant tucked away in St Heliers just opposite of the playground!!! Nice to have... More

We arrived after getting some negative comments about the place from a few friends whose been there and weren't too impressed so we thought we'll try it out as I've been there a year ago and it was fine. A bit tight in there but the food was fantastic. I tended to ignore the noise coming from the kitchen as... More

Both times we've been here (first time was 2 years+ago) we've had the same experience. It's reputation of being a nice restaurant by the beach is not what we've experienced. Last night as we walked in the owner/manager shouted at a young, female, member of staff in a very aggressive manner. He gruffly pushed past our party to find a... More

EXCELLENT MENU! True Italian, great quality food!!! Love the traditional and new dishes. Great balance. Kids loved the king Prawn linguine and their ravioli dishes. I loved the veal scaloppine ... bit sweet and rich (masala wine) but SO DELICIOUS!!!! Good quality!!!! Will frequent there often!!!

A group of 10 went to Scalini's for a Birthday Dinner, Monday night. We order 8 different main courses, and everyone enjoyed their meal, the food was fantastic. We did take some wine and bubbles no BYO charge, the Owner bought out the flute glasses no problem. We also purchased some wine from the Restaurant. Te Awhanga Red was superb.

Went for dinner with five other business ladies and the food was not nice. Couldn't eat my lasagne as it had water round it. When I complained to the waiter who then told the owner the owner came over to our table and I was standing at the time and he grabbed me by the arms shook me swore at... More

Great food and they allow BYO wine, which is real bonus for keeping costs down. We've eaten here many times, it's our boys favorite restaurant. My fave is the fettuccini al pollo. Enjoy.
