Don’t bother eating here… overpriced, terrible food. Don’t cater for allergies either. Staff were nice, cool venue, shame the food was so bad.

We were staying at the Grand and wanted dinner one night. We didn't want the casino nor did we really want to go to the upscale (read: expensive) foo foo places on either side of the Grand. This place was just half a block away...and since it was raining, we decided to give it a try. I had the sirloin steak, but this really isn't the kind of place to get steak. It was thin although had decent flavor. My wife had the poutine which was ok. Service was fine. All in all, a decent dinner but probably would try another place next time.More

Have been here a few times now when in Auckland and love the food for a reasonably speedy bite that still feels like you're eating out. Have sat at both the bar/kitchen and in a booth, and both are fine but it is a tight...space in general. It's a nice novelty to sit at the kitchen and see the food being prepped right in front of you (does make you hungry though!). Love the poutine, we get it every time! The reuben was delicious (have never had one before!) and the drinks are always good too, especially the cocktails - our table had a few and they were yum!More

Granted, this was our first dinner in Auckland having landed from the US that morning. That said, we were not impressed. Food was ok. Service was fair.

Absolutely appalling customer service. Waited 20 min in line with a half empty cafe- while servers constantly ignored everyone lining up. They chatted and laughed and when they did acknowledge the people in line it was just to tell people they would get to them...soon. 3 other groups left before we also decided to leave after being ignored for too long while servers walked around aimlessly. Watched one server tell a couple that they had been there too long and needed to leave- the couple refused. Appalled at this place and left.More

Great food, wine, cocktails and desserts. Nice area and the decor was charming and clean. Sarah's Pecan Pie was sublime.

We were looking for a restaurant near the SkyTower and with the Fed being across the street, we thought we’d give it a try. The interior decor is dated and bland much like the food. The half Schnitzel (NZ 19) I ordered was nothing special...and no where near as good as I have enjoyed in Europe. My daughter ordered the the Half Matzo Ball soup (NZ 13) , my wife ordering the full order (NZ 19.50), both saying the soup was good. The meal served it’s purpose but not a place we would return to after finding other nearby eateries more to our liking.More

We went for dinner shortly after arriving in Auckland. We were staying at the SkyCity Hotel and this restaurant was located almost next door. The matzoh ball soup was excellent, but this was clearly not a Jewish deli. It had items on the menu like...poutine, which I have enjoyed in Canada, but would not expect or desire at this type of deli. Also, the sandwiches were OK, but I would not do out of my way to eat here again.More

We arrived during lunch and seated promptly. The waitress was not great. When questioned about the menu she gave wrong information which led to one person having to pick through their food since it had ingredients she did not list. Another order was wrong which...was her mistake and the cook had to come out and question it. Service was on the slower side pricing is in line with other restaurants in the area. Cool decor and ambience great location. Would not return if in the area again.More

Quick, delicious food with friendly and attentive workers. Meal proportions are a bit off if you’re eating alone so worth asking workers for advice.

We loved the open kitchen (normal for a deli) so we could watch everything being prepared with fresh local ingredients. Staff were very friendly and efficient. We had a wonderful Reuben sandwich (very good tender and tasty pastrami) and veal schnitzel. All very good. All...washed down with delicious cold Dog Point Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.More

I had the Morning Glory which was absolutely delicious. The food was fresh and well cooked. The place resembled a New York deli with good music and bored looking disinterested staff. Would definitely return and highly recommend.

The best salmon bagel I've ever had, followed by a slice of an amzing slice of peanut butter & pretzel pie. The service was faultless. efficiently seated, water poured straight away and ample time given to make my choice. Water glass topped up during lunch...in a very non obtrusive manner. Very efficient service.More

Visited for a mid-week lunch and really enjoyed it. I ordered their famous toasted chicken salad sandwich with cheese and a small Montréal poutine with added pastrami. The restaurant has a great atmosphere with a variety of seating options, some more suited for groups or...those looking to linger and others for those after a quick meal. I sat at the kitchen right in front of the chefs, which was excellent! Service was friendly and efficient, I was seated quickly and meals didn't take long to come out. Both the sandwich and poutine were excellent and very generous serves, would have loved to stay for some dessert as well but I was too full! Highly recommended for a memorable meal in central Auckland.More

This place IS NOT representative of classic New York Deli food. Matzo Ball soup was terrible, dark broth that tasted like it was made with Marmite. It was salty, and the balls were greasy bagel balls. There was no MATZO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS OFF-TASTING mess....Skip it. The TOASTED REUBEN had tasteless CLUNKY pastrami on rye w/out and visible Swiss cheese. The sauerkraut was washed out and flavorless. The mustard was plain yellow mustard and THERE WAS NO RUSSIAN DRESSING on the sandwich. A disappointing meal.More
