Paid 21 dollars for some Lisa’s hummus, Subway avocado purée and burnt toast. Coffee good though. Would expect some real avocado in a dish called the avocado stack!!

Our return visit after 3 years absence. Still providing delicious vegetarian and if you're inclined, vegan options. A wonderful tomato side dish and a croissant complemented with avocado and egg, murderously cracked. Excellent coffee and complimentary water. Lovely crew. 🇬🇧🛩🇳🇿

I’ve ordered takeaway lunch for the past few days from Postal Service Cafe. The eatery was once the Grey Lynn Post office. I loved the smoked cheese toastie. It was so good … I went again today and I ordered the omelette. I love the...fact that they are vegetarian - the food and service are always fantastic.More

My daughter and her partner are vegetarians and so I was not surprised that they chose this cafe. I was also accompanied by my great friend Lee. Well the waiter was great and had a wonderful sense of humour. The food was sooo good -...Lee had an avocado dish (absolutely scrummy) I had an omelette which was so tasty and the other two were also delighted. The coffee here is so tasty and so I highly recommend this cafe . Will definitely come again.More

As a Wellington coffee snob its hard work finding a good coffee in Auckland. Look no further than here. Great service, good food but most importantly a nice coffee made extremely well. Putting a new positive meaning to the expression "I'm going Postal"

Breakfast with friends- had to be on bus route and near bus stop (tick) vegetarian (tick) great coffee ( tick). Add friendly and good service and this is it. Create menu to choose from. I had go pancakes. Highly recommended

We visited this place for lunch and we were not disappointed. We recently turned vegetarian and finding this place was like hitting the jackpot. Food was delicious and decent portions leaving you satisfied. Staff were welcoming and very attentive. Although we were there at their...busiest time food came promptly. bathrooms were cleanMore

Hello Came in today to see what Kokako Cafe was all about. I could see and feel from the vibe in the restaurant that it was positive and bustling. The menu is vegetarian, so a highlight was the waiter showing me photos from their Instagram...page on what they looked like. Thank you. So why give it three stars? I ordered the 'Smashed Avocado' along with a coffee. When the food came out, the toast was cold and hard, with the rest of the plate feeling soulless. Like it had all been just added from three different containers, ding order out. This felt a little excessive when paying $22 plus for cold bread and avocado plus one poached egg. The low point was the plate itself rocked, push down anywhere on the plate and the other side would lift up. So a rocking plate. So to conclude, great people and service but the food was too expensive and average. Shame...More

I have often eaten at Kōkako Cafe and always been served with fresh, great tasting food and excellent coffee. The main servings are a generous size and the chef is creative and brings interesting tastes together. Great place to meet friends.

Ok, I used to be a regular at this cafe as it was my local, so I travelled up from the CBD for lunch. Admittedly I got here at 1pm but hardly anything on display and the following happened; Stale muffin that was not rectified...upon me requesting it to be heated. Luke warm coffee...inexcusable! Green smoothie thar actually tasted awful (Ive had this before and it was fine). And lastly...my lovely black pants ripped on one of their metal chairs, and I'm visiting! So I can't go home and change. So my advice. Go somewhere else.More

We visited this cafe twice for breakfast over the Easter weekend. Both times the coffee was excellent. The first visit I had the Swiss mushrooms and my wife had the waffles and we both thought the food was very good. The second visit I had...the avocado on toast and my wife had the toasted cheese. Unfortunately neither were very good. They were served as described but the various flavours did not blend too well. The avocado had mashed pumpkin and the toasted cheese has sauerkraut. However if you choose wisely this is a very nice cafe. Service is prompt and friendly.More

Fantastic find in grey lynn. We stopped by for brunch and not only was the office terrific so were the smoothies. We had two terrific meals - pancakes and the eggs. Neither disappointed. Service was done at the table and the meals arrived quickly and...extras were ordered and arrived fast. Excellent and totally recommended.More

OK. Well, for Auckland, the prices here were actually rather modest. And I must say, the dazzling huevos rancheros, goat cheese sweet potato salad, and artisan-executed Ethiopian Guji-sourced pourover were spot on, giving awesome bang for the NZD. Second pic? Our waitress Sophie from Taranaki...region have us helpful hints on dining in New Plymouth (thanks! Snug was just perfect).More

Consistently great service; smiles and quick delivery of order. Meals that really satisfy taste and hunger. Multiple Organic coffees to try. Guji is my favourite.

We had the smashed avocado with a poached egg and also poached eggs on toast with red pepper pesto. The food was awesome and all the staff were very friendly and professional. Maddy did an excellent job helping us choose meals and then preparing them....I had two coffees! Highly recommend Kokako!More
