This is a friendly, bustling, sometimes rowdy restaurant - perfect for a fun night out with friends over a tasty meal and a glass of red wine or two. Coco's fare isn't silver service haute cuisine by any means, but the food is uniformly very very good, and the proportions are generous. The staff are excellent. Friendly, highly competent, efficient;... More

We decided on Coco's Cantina based on my 35 year old son's recommendation.WOW!what a lovely, heartwarming place to eat. Their philosophy is 'be kind'and that pretty much sums up the positive vibe at Cocos. The food is delicious, flavorful, comforting with very generous servings......actually,it's just damned scrumptious! The staff are friendly but not in your face. The speed of service can vary... Been here several times. Always find the bustling atmosphere very appealing. Yes as there is no booking sometimes you have to wait a while but this is casual dining. Always found the staff friendly and the food good standard. Highly recommended.

We had a great dinner at Coco's last week as the final night of our trip to NZ. We had the last available table for an early sitting and the food and service was faultless. Really relaxed and unpretentious venue, staff and menu. We also caught the tail end of happy hour so had a few more drinks than anticipated... More

This place is amazing! There are no bookings so you need to get there early or get your name on the waitlist - plenty of time to have a drink while waiting. The service is just perfect for the style of restaurant, not pretentious or overdone in any way. Happy hour has great prices for great drinks and the food... More

Totally unpretentious, delicious food and great waiting staff. Definitely try the polenta chips. One of the best Italian meals I've ever had.

Either get here early or after 8pm. In saying this we had a very short wait on the sofa with a drink and bread sticks, goats cheese and olives. Food was lovely. Difficult to choose what to have

We were treated to a meal out at "Coco's Cantina" by some friends who had come over from Italy. They knew, and worked with the owners in Italy. It was exceptional food, and service. Very, very busy, and one of "the" places to eat in Auckland. You will need to get there early though.

Honestly can't work out what all the fuss is about. Ordinary food, ordinary service, and the passive aggressive harangues on the menu and wall made me laugh tbh
