You have to try the very good authentic Chicken Laksa in this small Malasian restaurant in Khyber Pass Road near broadway!

We ordered spring rolls, pandang chicken and at $22 prawn vege. The spring rolls and chicken were ok but the prawn dish was awful. 6 watery prawns and a massive amount of cabbage in an oily tasteless sauce. Yuk! I've eaten a lot of Malaysian food but nothing like this. Won't be back.

Selera is a cute hole in the wall cheap eats place, and would highly recommend! the menu does not look vegetarian friendly but the staff are super accommodating for vegetarian or vegan diners too. the laksa was delicious and I wish I'd gone halves with somebody so I could eat more of the menu too!

Popped in off the street with the family for a late lunch and very pleasantly surprised at the quality and value. Ordered mee goreng, chicken satay, buns, spring rolls and chicken laksa. All good - laksa was the absolute stand out. Spicy but not too hot, richly flavoured, lots of tofu puffs, chicken, egg, fried shallots. $50 for the family... More

The food was ok but I was expecting better as I'd heard great things about this place. The Hainan chicken rice was great but everything else we had on the menu was just average (especially the chicken laksa and fish collar noodles). Very busy on weekends.

The menu has a lot of things on it, but not a lot of variety. I ordered a chicken cashew dish, which tasted like run-of-the-mill Chinese takeaways. They also want payment upfront, which doesn't give off a particularly friendly vibe, and means you have to get up to pay again if you do want more during your meal. I won't... More

Often stop by for a quick lunch. Food has been "modified" to cater for local tastes, so a bit of a disappointment that spicy is not really spicy! All in all quite good. Have recently realised that prices have gone up.

I haven't had a bad meal here. From simple wonton soup with a side of broccoli to lobak it's all beautiful. The Laksa are some of the best in Auckland. It's not a smart place and you pay before you eat, it can get cramped BUT the food is fantastic.
