we ordered a double gin + tonic and a tap beer that wasn’t even a pint $43. No help from staff for a table and was told we weren’t allowed to sit at tables unless booked yet no reserve signs and the table was still...empty during the time we were there until we left. No reserved sign on it and not set up for a booking. The gin was served so standardly. I’d expect that price in London but not in a musky bar with no available seating and rude staff. If there’s no available seating I don’t understand why they were still allowing people in was just a bad experience and won’t be visiting here again. I’ve worked in hospitality for 6+ years I’ve never seen an extra shot of gin be $15. A standard pour should be a double.More

Meeting friends, we arrived early. Decided to sit in the corner. The bar was empty. Our table was close to another so I moved ours slightly and was asked to put it back as it blocked the fire exit, which was fair enough. So I...moved the other and was asked to put it back as the Karen proprietor "always set the bar out that way". Our friends arrived and we ordered drinks and Karen banged them on the table with no conversation or thanks. Our friends moved the other table a few inches and Karen shot me a filthy look. No wonder the bar was empty.More

We had a couple of drinks here and didn't have to move to order from Wong and Whites. Ref review left for W+W, these two places are highly recommended

Extremely rude manager. Was walking along waterfront decided to have a drink. Not only are drinks expensive but the manager was particularly rude and not welcoming it like he was doing me a favour selling overpriced drink to me. There other places that look better...walk on pass is my adviceMore

I’ve been here many times, it’s always been a nice fun cocktail bar, perfect before or after eating in Aucklands Viaduct. The last few days have been a struggle. Today, likely my last visit. I am drinking a cold bitter coffee. My dad sent his...cracked beer glass back, which took 15 minutes. I’ve attached a picture of the rubbish dump of LPG bottles and trash piled up in the corner. Sadface.More

Sardine is a smallish bar on the Waterfront at the viaduct. It had a cosy interior and a spacious outside seating area. The bar offers a goid range of cocktails, the expresso martinies were very good. Great place for a few drinks and relax with...great scenery of Aucklan harbour.More

This is a lovely place, we first visited the one in Queenstown and were delighted to find another in Auckland! The man working behind the bar is very proficient and welcoming. It is also nice to sit outside as the outdoor heaters keep it warm...in winter. Sardine is brilliant (plus I love the name and themed decor!)More

We didn't eat here but had a few beers in the afternoon sun. Great ambiance and staff. More of a mature crowd and the drinks are on the expensive side but I suppose that deters the heavy drinkers. It backs onto the harbour and is...great on a nice day.More

A small bar and eatery on the Auckland waterfront, and on a summer's evening this is a perfect location. Didn't eat here but managed to have a couple of cold beers from a good selection of tap beers. My wife had a couple of good...cocktails and enjoyed sitting in the sun people watching on a lovely Auckland summers evening.More

We were on a cruise from Australia on the ''Majestic Princess'' and went ashore for the day. Auckland was experiencing a heatwave following an heat-burst right across Australia and it was an unusually hot day for NZ. We had done the city sights and were...parched. What a great sight on our return to the waterfront to find this wonderful al fresco bar right there, experiencing the sea breezes. This is a great bar with lots of great drink choices. It is adjacent to a great little restaurant called ''White & Wongs'', which I assume is under the same management, either that or they are very tolerant of their neighbour supplying eats. After a hot day sight seeing, this is a great little oasis in a fairly trendy gathering of eateries on Auckland's waterfront. Pretty crowded, so being a Saturday, either the locals were partying or the passengers, like us, were just after a thirst quencher on a very hot day. Great location and exceptional service.More

A friend of ours recommended this bar for some drinks before lunch at the restaurant. We arrived on Sunday 20th at 11.30am and the bar was still closed, even if the internet said it opened at 11.00am. Shame. So we tried again on Monday after...a lovely lunch at White and Wong's, We waited for 10 minutes at the bar, and no-one showed up. We asked someone from the restaurant, and they told us they will send someone, but still no one came so we left. Consistency definitely isn't the right word to describe this place.More

I cannot stop raving about this place to everyone back in Tauranga. Excellent afternoon spent drinking beer, rum and cocktails. The Italian man behind the bar was just amazing - funny, knowledgeable and makes a great cocktail. I was recommended one of his special Saturday...cocktails (even though it was Monday) and decided to go for the lychee cocktail - it may just be top of my list for my favourite cocktail to date - I drink a lot of cocktails. All round great experience here - we were taken care of extremely well.More
