Great relaxed atmosphere, fantastic service and delicious food. We have been here many times, also a great kids menu, a tv with cartoons/ kids movies & toys in the conservatory is extra awesome! Here is a photo of my favourite dish, twice roasted pork belly.

Good home, good food! Had a burger meal which is a bit pricey but it’s worth it. They have big serving and I thought I won’t finish everything but I did 😂

We had an evening appointment in Mountain Road just around the corner from here. Last time we visited this place it was the Speights Ale House but we were pleasantly surprised that it was now Good Home as we had dined at the Pukekohe one...so knew the food would be good. We weren’t let down. Very friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Comfy seating and a great menu. The Stuffed, Twice Cooked, Pork Belly would have to be the largest and best tasting one I have ever had. I had a side of Beer Battered Onion rings which were scrumptious as well. All washed down with a lovely Mac’s Ginger Beer. The belt had to be let out a notch or two but it was well worth it. At $30 for the Pork Belly it wasn’t overly priced and large serving, you get your money’s worth alright. My wife had the snack salt and peppered calamari which was too much for her. All around, fantastic experience.More

The service is excellent. And I enjoy going to this bar after football on a Monday night. So why a two-star rating? The food was disgusting. I ordered the chicken wings, and it was the most unhealthy, deep fat fried, tasteless and just bad chicken......0/10 I get the impression that all the dishes are deep fat fried and with little to no experience making the dishes. So just be warned.More

Visited the Good Home while on a visit to Auckland. Had fish & chips large portion & great taste. One of the people with us had the half rack of ribs which he totally raved about for the next week.Stevie the manager was extremely friendly...& looked after us as this was our first visit to NZ. Can imagine a great location for sports viewing & great @ weekends.More

Went to this bar for the ARC quarterfinals and have never seen so many people smoking in their covered area. Ruined the evening!

Called into Good Home Mt Eden for lunch on a nice Sunday afternoon. All started well however when meals arrived the fries were undercooked, we asked a staff member for some replacement fries which they agreed to, unfortunately when the new fresh fries came out...they were just as bad as the ones that came out with the burger originally. When we told staff about it they were pretty dismissive of that fact they were undercooked and oily. Then when we went to pay they couldn’t locate the credit card that we had given them for the tab. Pretty average place and won’t be rushing to return.More

Great food, excellent service and handy spot to pop in to meet a friend. Free Car parking available. The fire place is a nice touch on a cool winters night.

Telling the truth often hurts but this would have been the worst experience since we moved into the area 7 months ago, last Night the Food was very average, liquor, no Cointreau, no Honey Bourbon, no southern comfort, shots are expensive, the staff while lovely...when engaged tended to spend too much time leaning on the bar talking to each other rather than being attentive to the needs of the consumer. Astmosphere was the only thing going for the pub on the night.More
