If you are looking for a good pub meal to share with a Groupon friends this is an easy place to go. Large tables in a spacious environment offer a friendly setting for Lunch or Dinner. Parking outside the door, a family friendly environment.

Ended up dropping into H&T on a Saturday with my wife and 3 mo. old for lunch. It was rather dead- only a few other tables being served and re-construction of the outdoor area underway. I had bangers and mash and a pint of Radler to wash it down... wow, one of the best bangers and mash I have ever... More

My wife and I needed a quick bite to eat before heading to a concert at the Powerstation and this place being a 5 minute walk and having a good name was worth looking at. The building is undergoing some significant maintenance work (earthquake strengthening) so wasn't at its best. The staff however were friendly and helpful and the food... More

Came to this bar with a group of friends to watch the rugby, there were also a couple of other groups also there to watch the rugby. Once the game had started, we asked for the commentary to be turned on but we were told that we weren't allowed due to ONE family having a "personal dinner." Don't show the... More

Have been here once for dinner and the quiz night. Food was delicious, slightly pricey for your average bar food but worth the money. Would 100% recommend the calamari! Staff are also very friendly and efficient, frequently coming over to take orders and providing the option of bringing eftpos to the table which is perfect for quiz night!

This is a great pub that has been an Auckland institution for a long time. Serves great food, friendly and professional staff. Worth a visit or 2

There have been changes in this restaurant. I went here quite often in the last years. The food isn't as good as it used to be. But more quite on the veranda now that the trains are electrified. Still a good place to have a snack and a drink. But not for a fancy dinner.

Stopped here after a quick trip up Mt Eden. Great place for a relaxing drink and quick bite to eat especially by the fire on a crisp autumn day. Restaurant is more of a bar atmosphere with a relaxed feel. A large inside room with a mix of low and high tables and an outside area for smokers or those... More

Went here for a Sunday lunch -big group. Very impressed with the service and getting all the meals out around the same time. Meal was excellent and a good size . No sides required. All the meals where well presented. Second time we have been here and was still impressed.
