Just needed a refuel before walking the dog, not on the public beach as not allowed but the public area in front of the cafe was extensive and uncrowded although a public holiday. Good quality food and drinks with good service. Menu a bit limited...but enough to see you through.More

Ordered 2 large coffees, not very hot, 1 (small) slice of orange cake & a florentine $24, what was disappointing is there isn't a list on the wall for your drinks selection, which i find unusual as you can't see what your paying for. The...slice of orange cake was very small for $6.50 & wasn't accompanied with anything else as you usually get elsewhere. Checked the bill as i thought $6.50 for a florentine biscuit was expensive ( which i originally wasn't going to buy, as i thought the cake for 2 would be enough, but it wasn't) As i was waiting for my coffee's the cake & the biscuit were on the counter in open paper bags, to my alarm flies were flying into the bag, at this stage i asked if could i have my order so no more flies would be in the bags, also i enquired about the bill as i thought the biscuit was expensive, ( no prices on the display plate) i had been charged wrong , so i got the difference back (even though it said "florentine $6.50) at least. Maybe a lovely spot but unfortunately the venue is not for me! Sorry guysMore

Great location. We intended having coffee at the cafe section but it was closed at lunch time on Saturday so had to go to the restaurant section of the establishment. The coffee was ordered and was then asked “so you don’t want anything to eat?”...in a surly manner that was not justified. We had sat at a bench table and was approached by a staff member who was quite polite and asked us to move as they had a large group coming, then proceeded to put reservation signs on it. The drinks arrived in good time, but not as ordered. All in all a not so great experience.More

Located on the North Alkimos Beach (Shorehaven Estate), upper level Promenade, the ocean views are outstanding (Indian Ocean). Their menu is not the usual Cafe "short-order" type, but one that would have been chosen by a quality Chef. Mid-level prices appeal and are reasonable given...the wonderful sites and views. Great for a few photos too.More

3 young girls just not enough to cope with a packed cafe on a Sunday morning. Had to wait 45 mins for takeaway food - which was cold and eggs over cooked. Lots of very unhappy customers. Girls were working as hard as they could...- bless em, but come on ‘owner’ - don’t be tight - employ more staff.More

Prices don't reflect standard of food.food came out cold.fish overcooked.,chips soggy and on top of it all were asked to hand over credit cards after having offered to pay before the order was served. Sad as the Cafe had been so good.wont waste my money....Oceans 27 need to lift their game. No wonder people walk off!!More

I was visiting family who lived in the area and recommended the Shore Cafe, however everybody at the table was disappointed by our experience. You are asked to wait by the front counter and be seated by staff, but after waiting for a staff member...to process three separate payments, he just handed us menus and said we could sit anywhere - if that was the case, why force us to wait so long to seat ourselves. Our drink orders were taken and came out in a timely manner, but it took another 20 minutes for somebody to take our meal orders. We placed our meal order at 10:55, and finally received the first plate at 11:35. The menu states customers should expect "reasonable" waits, but I don't think 40 minutes on a quiet midweek morning is reasonable. The first plate of four came out around 5 minutes before the second two, two orders of bacon and eggs that were both missing the bacon. It took an additional 10 minutes for the plates to return, and the eggs were cold by this time. Finally, the fourth plate came out, cold, and missing two components listed on the menu. At no point did a waiter apologise for any of the mistakes, the unreasonable wait time, or offer to compensate the plate that was missing two key ingredients. Overall this was an extremely disappointing experience. The Shore Cafe had been recommended by both our family, and friends who are local to the area, and the entire experience was totally subpar. It seems that the staff aren't able to cope with even a slow morning, the kitchen needs retraining, and staff should be able to identify and rectify serious mistakes. A completely disappointing experience, I would never return.More
