The restaurant had a really great atmosphere, the service was excellent and the food was outstanding. We had the banquet for 3 people and we couldn't even make it to the dessert. The Maitre d' made us feel very welcome and kept an eye on us all night. The only downside was that the restaurant was a bit warm as... More

Not blown away. I had Saganaki cheese and grilled octopus. Cheese was very very salty and grilled octopus was almost raw and tough as a boot. My partner enjoyed his meal of stuffed cabbage leaves. So, mixed experience. Simple friendly no frills service. Lovely room with lots of natural light.

We were in Melbourne for the second time in six months and this was a our third Greek restaurant and for me it was the best so far. We were only there for lunch, and I had the cabbage dolmades (rolls) and my partner had the grilled octopus. My food was good, but her octopus was -sadly- under done. Other... More

We were so glad we had made a reservation as the restaurant was very busy but despite this the service was lovely throughout the evening. We ordered the banquet for two people and absolutely everything that we were served was beautifully cooked with such traditional flavours. Really took us back to our holidays in Cyprus Would love to return next... More

We chose this restaurant because we liked the menu and the cheerful look of the place. Our group of 5 decided to go with the banquet menu but wanted souvlaki included. This wasn't a problem. It set the tone for the whole night. The owner and waiting staff were really good from helping with wine selection to pacing the food... More

We dropped in without a reservation on a whim .... And what a find. The fact there were a number of solo diners spoke to a friendly atmosphere. All the usual menu favourites plus some house specials made for a delicious dinner. A small but varied wine list and speedy service made for a complete occasion. Plus, the bathrooms are... More

Went with another couple. Cold platter to share was a medley of fresh tastes, generous and large variety. Followed by cabbage roll, moussaka and stifado to share was an ideal meal. Serviceexcellent. Extra bread given to mop up dips. Very friendly and attentive. Last came here 3 years ago when last in Melbourne and is still tops.

We love having a " Greek fix" from time to time and this is the place to come. Wide range of typical dishes, lovingly cooked. Rustic style restaurant but fun and a great place for a group so you can share the dishes. Well done!

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
