My favourite Indian halal cuisine in Melbourne. The quality of food never seems to disappoint me. I highly recommend it

Restaurant doesn't look the nicest, but the service and food more than made up for it. Well done guys

Don't let the looks fool you, the food is absolutely excellent! I had the butter chicken and I've had many of those in my life and this place maybe had the best one yet!

We enjoyed our curry there so much we went back the next day and had exactly the same. Sometimes when you have a curry, it doesn't taste like the spices have blended but there was no such problem here. We loved it. I had channa masala and hubbie had dhal makani and both were amazing. Highly recommended.

To put simply, it's a 30 seat restaurant tucked away at the back of an arcade in central Melbourne. The food is seriously good and we were talking about it for hours afterwards. The beer is cold and they sell from the bottle and on tap. If you want ritzy decor etc go elsewhere. If you want some great reasonably... More

Had lunch here after craving Indian food in Melbourne and was not disappointed! The food itself is traditional, and the saag paneer was delicious, flavourful, and had a fair amount of paneer in it. My boyfriend had a chicken tikka masala which had the perfect amount of spice, and we shared onion bhaji which was delicious. The garlic naan and... More

Excellent personal service and very good food. A bit tucked away, but worth the search. Being hidden away adds to the quiet dinner experience.

If your looking for fancy this might not be for you. If you want great Indian food at a reasonable price go nuts.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
