Everything we ordered was not very good and then my niece and I felt pretty awful for about two hours after we ate. The spare ribs were basically all fat. Would never eat here again.

Located in the heart of the tourist area, this was without doubt the yummiest Chinese food we ate while we were in Melbourne. The meals were delicious, the staff were courteous and accommodating. Very reasonable priced.

Went here with friends. Service was good. Waitress was very patient with us as friends had heaps of questions about the menu. The food I ordered was salty & not very enjoyable. Wouldn't eat here again.

Bokchoy Tang has an outstanding location in Federation Square overlooking the Yarra River. The menu is contemporary Chinese. The restaurant has an open kitchen. The food is good but there are many competitors in the Chinese restaurant area these days. As for dishes like friend rice, few Chinese people eat this dish.

My husband and I went for a romantic dinner. The restaurant was very empty. It had a lovely view from our window. The menu isn't very huge, so it didn't take us long to select our meals. We were so disappointed, the lemon chicken was not cooked enough and extremely oily and so was the fried rice. We left nearly... More

Went in a party of five couples for a pre booked reservation early on a Saurday night. The restaurant was pretty quite and we doubled the amount of people in the place. Ordering was efficient and friendly although it was an hour before we received out appetisers. The problems arose with the main course, meals delivered one at a time... More

With out doubt the best Chinese food I've had the pleasure of eating in a long time. Simple but packs a punch of flavor! I left feeling so satisfied and every dollar was worth it. Pricing is really good for such a great meal, starters from $7 and you can get a vast variety of main courses for under $30.... More

Dropped in after the footy on Anzac day. First thing we noticed is it is spacious and second thing was no one else was in there. Why, I do not know, because the food was terrific. Very cooperative staff, helpful in guiding our guests with gluten free requirements and friendly. The dumplings where yummy, the pork ribs great, the pepper... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
