Chilli Padi (Or Chilli India as it is called) has some good dishes with the right amount of spices as the Indians would love it. My personal favourites are Chicken Dum biryani and Podi chicken. This place is mostly fully packed during the dinner time. So reach there around 7.30-7.45 to avoid any disappointment. Njoy the food.. Cheers

No doubt food was good, but service OMG!! Such a s*** service ever saw. Wait for half an hour for meal(masala dossa), which can be tolerable , but asked for extra sahmbhar in middle of my meal. After 10 minutes of waiting, have to get up and ask for it again and again on the counter , then after five... More

Love the veg biryani, Gobi Manchuri and Dosa here. My husband enjoys Goat and chicken biryani. Price is bit expensive but tasty food. Great place for friends , coupled or family. It's inside the Melbourne central. Gets busy on Friday and Saturday nights.

The restaurant served Malay food, it was fresh & good although not very exceptional. We had beef curry which is quite nice, shrimp was also fresh & delicious. I also recommend the duck in coconut broth. The place was busy and full of customers and overall it was a good place to get malay food.

We arrived close to 3pm before they close for lunch break so we weren't sure if they will serve us. Upon inquiry to the kitchen they gladly did. We really appreciated their efforts. Two mains, a roti with sauce and two teh tarik later we were satisfied customers. Give it a try very reasonable price food.

The worst Malaysian food o have ever eaten. Couldn't really tell which dish was which, first course arrived but no cutlery. Then it turned out to be the wrong dish. Don't bother with this place.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
