This restaurant ticked a couple of boxes... Close to our hotel on an evening we were both tired & very easy wheelchair access. We weren't after a feast so simply ordered some dolmades (vine leaves), mixed dips, tabouli & then the chicken doner with rice & salad included. The vine leave were straight out of the can which immediately makes... More

Achelya is a turkish restaurant in a great location in Docklands. Food servings are huge. Quality ordinary. The customers here are largely folk who choose to inhale fruit substances through a bong. for them food and drink are lesser considerations. At times the restaurant has a strong sweet fruit odour.

This restaurant is so dissapointing! They gave us no choice but to order in bouquets, 45 dollars a person and the amount of food, quality and taste that was put on the table was so bad! They gave us canned vine leaves, and mixed up our mocktails for cocktails.. The dance floor is so tiny also that you don't feel... More

We weren't sure about visiting having read previous reviews, but we were staying close so gave it a try. We had kebabs ! They were everything you would expect and the service was brilliant. We went back a few nights later and had steak and fish of the day. Excellent, and once again the waiting staff were so good (... More

Arrived fairly late in Melbourne and wanted something close to Esplanade. I had the Kavurma with Lamb and enjoyed it very much.

Ordered a dip and Turkish bread for two and a meat platter and got it as take away. Dips were divine and the was bread to die for. The meat dishes that we were served were cooked to perfection. We would highly recommend this restaurant. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. If Turkish people eat out at a Turkish... More

Had quite a good look and atmosphere but the food was a let down. Lacked flavour and was uninspiring to say the least
