We booked for 8 at 8 and were cordially escorted to out table on time. The staff are very good and know their dishes well. We had our food in good time and enjoyed the tastes of this Italian cuisine. I must say the Meat canelloni I ate were very nice indeed. The other 7people also enjoyed their meals.Pricing OK and... More

Love this restaurant for its ambience and great food. Huge menu with many wonderful dishes. Always busy because of this. Visited many time with friends and on different occasions. Always look to dine here at least once when in Melbourne visiting.

Came in without a reservation on a Sunday for dinner. Food was fantastic - we tried the Barramundi, Lamb steak and Porterhouse steak and all were done to perfection in a generous serving. Service was also great and we were given adequate attention. Would definitely return for another meal and recommend to friends.

Came without a reservation with a family of four (teenagers). We were treated wonderfully the entire time. Wait staff were all exceptional and efficient. Meals were abundant and very tasty. I loved my spaghetti meatballs. We shared desserts of tiramisu and choc mousse. Would definitely go here again. The atmosphere of the place was lovely and enhanced by the live... More

We always make the Spaghetti Tree a must stop when my partner and I go to our annual trip to Melbourne with our 3 daughters and sister. The food is great and the atmosphere is always lively and fun. Service also wonderful. We wouldn't miss a visit there.

This place was so cool, I loved the vibe. All the waiters were really friendly and great service! The pasta we each had was so good. The only downside is we thought they'd have pizza! I know I know, it's called Spaghetti Time. We assumed it was Italian!

Visited recently and lo and behold the booking we had previously arranged was on time. The service was attnetive and nothing was a problem for the servers. An extensive menu and a good menu for kids too, this was a great night out. They have a gentlman playing various instuments and the violin as well backed by a cyber orchestra.... More

We ended up at the Spaghetti Tree to celebrate a birthday. The food was okay, bistro quality and style, rather than restaurant quality. The prices are what you'd expect in Melbourne but the food wasn't very contemporary even though the price was. Perfectly edible but there's probably much better Italian on offer in CBD Melbourne. The decor was circa 1972,... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
