This is one of Melbourne's best restaurants and well worth a visit. Both food and service is exceptional. My wife and I have visit at least 40 times a year. Have held functions here for staff also, incredibly good feedback.

Cute little establishment manned by Italian accented waiters who have tabs on themselves. Food is old fashioned Italian fare with small nods to a modern twist. Would not be in a hurry to return as Melbourne does much better than this one

My family and I were in Melbourne for two days and Caffe e Cucina was highly recommended to us from a good friend. We absolutely loved it. The entire experience was a true delight. The staff was welcoming and the food was superb.

A must to visit when in Melbourne, we'll be back for sure. The staff were amazing and the food out of this world, proper homemade Italy. Wine list is extensive and not cheap but worth every penny. Thank you for a memorable night.

Late lunch ( walk past drop in) on a Friday was so good we returned for an early lunch ( late breakfast) sunday. Unique and rare ( thank goodness) , not the cheapest, but you absolutely get what you pay for in life, and this is no exception. It's an all-encompassing experience in Italian fare. Linguine marinara is my pick.... More

Melbourne is truly one of the world's great restaurant cities for variety and quality, and this is one of Melbourne's best for Italian food, served in style by truly professional waiters. Everything is good here, but for us the linguini seafood tops the lot. We suggest enjoying the beautiful pinot grigio from the wine list as the perfect companion, topped... More

The best coffee and paste you can get in Melbourne in the one place. Worth a visit for the coffee alone. You feel you are in Italy - great service.

Good idea to book but we arrived fairly early so got a table. The waiters spoke Italian but English to the customers. Food was good, my gnocchi was light, wine was fine. A bit pricey but evidently the locals love the place as it was full.

Staying in Chapel Street

Neighborhood Profile
Chapel Street
Seek and ye shall find! Prahran is a treasure hunter’s paradise of vintage stores, upscale boutiques and emporiums. Chapel Street is a one-stop shop with specialty stores selling just about everything. The famous Chapel Street Bazaar has so many curious and vintage knick-knacks that you will feel as if you're in a huge and busy museum. By contrast, at the northern end of Chapel Street, South Yarra and Windsor cater to high-end designer labels and exclusive boutiques. The community flocks to Prahran’s organic markets as a Saturday ritual, while art and film students leaf through vinyl LPs on Greville Street. The gay community also has a strong presence here. Prahran’s heritage buildings like the Reads Emporium and Prahan arcade offer a grand sense of scale and history. No matter your interest, come feel the pulse of one of Melbourne’s most loved precincts.
