Blink and you'll miss it, Fukuryu is located down a laneway off Chinatown and serves up a very decent ramen. A muted street frontage hides away a welcoming, bright dining space with open kitchen and second story views of the Melbourne streetscape. On the day,...More

It isn't the greatest ramen I've ever had. But it is far from the worst. Pretty tasty all around and quick, friendly service in an atmosphere different from most ramen places I've been too. It is refreshing change to have a right roof and clean...More

Needed a quick pre-theatre meal. Happily found a table early on a Friday night and food came out fast. One of the few places this end of the city with reasonable vegan options. Ramen was good, with plenty of condiments on the table to spice...More

Just off the main Chinatown Little Bourke Street, we found this gem. There is a big painted sign on a wall on Little Bourke Street to help you. You need to climb 2 flights of stairs to get to an airy, open warehouse room with...More

Upstairs and a bit of a challenge to find (use a good mapping program) this restaurant has a very hip, simple interior. Very comfortable. Most importantly the ramen here is world class. Springy noodles and wonderful full bodied broth. Staff is friendly. Great place.

We wanted a light meal after a sumptuous lunch and wanted also something hot as the temperature turned a bit cold. It was a bit late after 8 p.m. And the shop was with a few customers. We had the signature and the miso ramen....More

The crab bao buns definitely had old meat- couldn't finish them, the edamame was over cooked and soggy. For the price your paying there are definitely a lot better options close by.

Was so keen for this place, the decor and atmosphere is cool but the ramen is super bland, not really anything special. Probably won't go back.

Hidden in the first floor of building off a tiny lane in Melbourne CBD is worth the effort to discover it. The ramen is really good, probably as close to the real thing as you get. Very clean and open space. Recommended.

By steep stairs, certainly not. If there's a lift, then yes. It's quite spacious, and from memory, the lavatory is quite spacious.
