Rice Paper Scissors isn't yummy our traditional Vietnamese restaurant - but it takes Vietnamese flavours and combines with Western techniques to serve tapas-like dishes. The food is delicious and everything comes out of the kitchen really quickly. That said, there's always a big queue and it's difficult to get a spot there - so if you want to try it,... More

Very hipster, fantastic food and really great service. Definitely worth going to and reasonable price wise. I definitely recommend the prawns and the BBQ pork. To be honest, all five dishes were lovely. The idea is to choose several dishes and share between you, the staff are great at advising how much food you need to order and the dishes... More

I came here with my husband for our anniversary dinner and we had the most wonderful night. Professional staff, great vibe, fantastic cocktails (wow!) and the food... magnificent. We had the five for $59 and it was the perfect amount to be satiating and leave a little room for dessert if you wanted. We had the moreton bay prawn, the... More

To celebrate our anniversary I chose RPS in Liverpool St - everything was fantastic. The lamb ribs wow, waygu, Moreton Bay Prawns etc etc etc - even the wine on special Los Hermanos Lagudos by Crittendon matched perfectly with their fare and a generous glass at that Staff were onto it and with it A return is imminent

I've heard this place was amazing, and it definitely didn't disappoint. The concept of this restaurant is to share small tasting plates, just under $30 a head for 5 plates to share together, we had the steamed pork buns (best I've ever had) sticky pork belly (2nd fav) BBQ lamb ribs (delicious) thai fried chicken (addictive) and the mini Vietnamese... This place is all about the food. Can't book, 1 1/2 hour sittings on shared tables but definitely worth it for the food. Modern Asian Tapas. The flavours were amazing. Lamb ribs to die for. A must place to eat.

I honestly could not fault my experience at RPS! The flavors where everything and more. The staff are very helpful, the only thing I found that the serving sizes weren't the biggest but they are good for sharing amoungst friends.

We dined here before heading to the theatre and loved the efficiency of the staff. We (group of three) ordered 5 dishes to share (which seems to be the done thing and also the most value for money!) (galloping horses, crying tiger, pork dumplings, crispy barramundi and thai fried chicken) Apart from the fried chicken, we all enjoyed each dish.... More

without rice to soak up all those flavours, it all feels a little hollow. the dishes came out rapid fire, in a too loud environment, too busy being hip and cool rather than enjoyable. the food wasnt bad, just 5 dishes which mostly tasted the same. it became a medly of mildly spiced food. asian hawkers food it was not.... Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
