Crunchy chips were the highlight. The grilled fish was quite good but a very small piece of fish for the price. The salad had been prepared earlier in the day and suffered for this.

We ate out here recently and was pleasantly surprised. I had Calamari, Chips and Salad and it was yummy. So much food that I couldn't eat it all. Would recommend for a cheaper meal.

We really enjoyed the meals we had here. And they do a fantastic job of gluten free steak burgers. The fish and chips are so fresh and tasty.

During a recent visit to Melbourne I suddenly got it into my head that I needed a potato cake (potato scallop) and after some quick Googling, ended up at the Kiwi because of the good reviews and because it was only a 20 min walk away from where I was staying. Unlike most places they make theirs, as opposed to... More

We strolled in on Good Friday to get our obligatory fish and chips while visiting Melbourne and were treated with fantastic friendly service and the meal was not your standard fare. The fish was super fresh and the thick cut chips were awesome. We returned again on Saturday! The display of fresh seafood on offer was reflective of the overall... More

They grill as well as fry most of the fish and they have several excellent salads. We ate very well and healthy for a fraction of what a fancier place would cost. The fish was fresh and extremely well prepared.

Kiwi fish and chips is located in a little lane of Victoria parade with a few other eateries. We tried their Tasmanian salmon along with kumara (sweet potato) chips. Salmon was excellent and very tasty, and the kumara chips were delicious. Service was very friendly.

We had grilled salmon cooked perfectly, salt and pepper squid which was real fresh nicely seasoned and not battered, lovely battered fish and an awesome lamb burger. All really fresh, flavoursome and cooked well. The customer service was awesome, he was really friendly and went of his way. A good cheap meal.
