We walked by this place on our first night and had to keep walking because of the long lines. We tried again last night at an earlier time and walked right in. There were lines by the time we left. I dined here with my wife and son. I had shanghai fried noodles and pork and chicken dumplings. My wife... More

Super tasty chinese dumplings and wontons. Even though the place was crowded with a waiting line outside, the staff was super efficient and we had the food alot quicker than we expected. A bit crowded and very busy so dont expect a cozy sit-down lunch here. Super value for money as well!

Fantastic value. Dumpling soup has lots of dumplings - we didn't need the extra serve of dumplings on the side- but enjoyed them anyway!

Increasing in popularity this little place is super busy. Very tasty. Be prepared to share a table. They make in house and have s great selection.

Yum! This is a great little spot with super quick service (which is good as there's aways a line!) and delicious dumplings. We deviated from the dumpling menu and I wasn't in love with any of our choices. Stick to the dumplings, they're big servings, cheap, delicious and quick. Yum, really good!

You need to line up outside for a table but the line goes very quickly. You put down the items you want for the menu while you wait which means the food is almost ready by the time you sit down. I wasn't impressed with the food. It was a bit oily and lacked flavor.

Due to this place getting more and more popular, there is usually a lineup for dinner. But trust me, it's worth it. They will get you to look at the menu and write down what you want when in line (you can add on more once seated), also be prepared to be seated with others and squished in a bit.... More

Around lunch time there was a long queue outside but we decided to join it as we were not so hungry yet. We could already place our order while waiting outside so when we got a place at the long shared table inside, we were immediately rewarded with some delicious dumplings and bao's. We also had a fish dish. Everything... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
