The soup base of this beef pho is lighter as compared to that of Mekong, just next door, however some may like it here instead! The rice rolls are really good and some rolls like the lemongrass pork can get sold out fast! Only thing to improve is to look into ways to remove the house flies, which can get... More

So good Thats the short version So many menu options I wanted to try... too bad I am leaving and can't go back. Communal and individual tables. Reasonably priced for all meals.

This place has a nice fresh look and service is quick. I had a good pho and most people around us were getting rice paper rolls or pho. Normal prices.

For almost $40, we had 6 okay rice paper rolls and a bowl of vermicelli that didn't quite fill our tummies. Then we paid more for this visit by running to the toilet all evening 😵 It was ironic that while eating here we were discussing how we might not be able to trust the rice paper rolls on the... More

The canteen style restaurant had a lot of street appeal and lured us in. The funky looking wooden furniture and casual, friendly staff tempted us in the door. We were not disappointed. The service was quick and efficient, and we were quickly delivered delicious, fragrant and comforting food. There was a lot of lovely Vietnamese favourites to pick from on... More

After walking the Melbourne streets for half an hour looking for a decent place to eat, we came across "Rice Paper". The place was busy (always a good sign) and we could see fresh food in the display cabinets near the doorway (another good sign). Food was amazing, fresh, delicious, perfect mix of flavours. All four of us thought our... More

The food was reasonably priced and of good quality and quantity. The service was very prompt. There was a good crowd there so it was a little noisy which made it more difficult in trying to have a conversation.

Definitely worth a visit. Got seated straight away, beautiful hot green tea in a flask at the table, nice touch and enjoyable. I had the low carb rice paper rolls, 2 prawn and 2 poached chicken, they were so fresh and tasty and I was so full afterwards. Watching what others were ordering, the food looked great and large serves.... More

The food here is absolutely amazing! Full of flavour, great portion size, quick to seat and quick to get the meals out. Prices are really good and sugar cane juice is prime. We went for lunch and went straight back for dinner. Lovely place to sit and eat too.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
