Quite possibly the best steak we have ever had. This place should be packed! We had a nice quiet meal & it truly was one of the most tender delicious steaks we have ever had!!!

Was starting to think that I wasn't going too find a decent feed. Food was fresh tasty and fairly priced. Succulent oysters, squid sliced and tender. Steaks were cooked to requested degree.

Great service, the calamari was excellent. Tables are close together so not the most private place. Big family table next to us with young children so was quite noisy.

A dozen of us had a great night out here. We return each year to enjoy wonderful food and great banter with the staff.

Tables very close to each other - no privacy. My partner had a prawn main which he said was tasteless & watery, I opted for a couple of entree's both very small & again not up too much. The wine is overpriced - cheap wine with expense price tag.

Had the Porterhouse steak. Cooked perfectly and very tasty. Unfortunately restaurant was very inflexible with substitutions (vegetables versus potatoe). Wanted to charge extra. Thought this was a little much. Either way, good service and would recommend for a good steak.

We had a nice dinner; grilled calamari, grilled fish, salmon cakes and excellent veggies. They were accommodating on our reguest for no garlic. Our only complaint was the music , Christmas in April

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
