I don’t know of any other places where you can find delicious fresh sandwiches, great coffee, fish & chips or roast meat rolls under the one roof in the cbd. Prices are reasonable and the service is always friendly. My go-to for lunch at work.
I was near the Sea Life Aquarium waiting for the Melbourne hop on hop off bus and I had some time. I was looking around for a place to have a cup of coffee and a small snack. I crossed over to the opposite side...of the street and only then did I see the Riverside Deli and Coffee House. It is a sizeable sized space with multiple tables; they sell snacks, food, dessert items. I got a skinny latte and then went to sit down. The coffee was hot and delicious. If I had had more time, [I had to catch the bus] I would have stayed and had lunch I would recommend and return.More
Wandered into this deli for breakfast after having passed it on the tram several days in a row. I had a plate of bacon, eggs, and sausage as well as a long black coffee, and I found the food reminiscent of the stereotypical small town...diner -- greasy yet delicious. The decor was what really took my breath away; I think the owner is a film buff, because I saw magazine advertisements and posters for a range of Japanese, Chinese, and Western films as well various musical performances decorating the walls. There was also a rack with pamphlets for tourists, which was quite useful for me as well.More
We had breakfast and lunch her. Saw the food made early in the morning (around 7am). Breakfast was really good, as well as the coffee. Lunch was the same. We really liked the place as well. Great pictures and nice people.
Great little place!! Tucked away near the aquarium it has indoor and outdoor seating, meals for both meat and non-meat eaters that were delicious. Very friendly staff. Great for a quick, tasty, satisfying bite to eat.
