Amazing coffee served nice and hot and with a smile. Croissant is a little average. Not fresh and simply reheated.

Great little coffee / cafe with all the charm you expect of Melbourne. The staff were friendly and efficient. Coffee was delicious and made just how we asked, with no fuss.

Ate lunch here which consisted of calamari salad and seafood chowder. The food was fresh and portion size good. The owners are also the kitchen and front of house staff. The chef was good in the kitchen but not the best for staff relations.

This is the kinda place that makes me really frustrated as a Melbourne local. Had breakfast here on early Sunday morning and paid through the nose for one of the least inspiring brekkies I can imagine in this city. I get that rents must be...high here and that tourists mostly frequent but eating out is an event for lots of folks. Try and do well what you commit to would be my suggestion.More

Café Insieme was located less than a minutes’ walk from our hotel within the Causeway Mall. This being the case, it was one of the many small, numerous and obvious places to try for breakfast, so why not here? Like virtually all café’s, it’s only...open for breakfast and lunch and closes in the early afternoon. Although empty early on, it seemed to fill up with professional clientele fairly quickly soon after our arrival, which is always a good sign. Between the two of us, we chose both a full cooked breakfast and also the pancakes. The first - comprised of bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage, grilled tomato, spinach and mushrooms atop sour dough bread, the second – pancakes, syrup, fresh berries and ice-cream and both arriving with latte’s, all for under $20. The café also has some interesting and decorative artworks that adorn the inside walls. The food was itself was exceptionally good and truly great value, which considering, must be due to the competitive nature between all the surrounding businesses.More

Cute spot in the lane way very private away from main streets. Ordered marina pasta and chicken and avocado pasta with wedges on side. All meals were great decent size and very tasty for a reasonable price.

My partner and I went for breakfast. We asked for water when I ordered the Bircher and my partner ordered eggs and bacon. We never got our water, the Bircher had what I could only describe as tin strawberries and black berries which tasted like...dishwasher soap and my partner had over cooked eggs. As soon as the waiter saw we had finished she took everything including the napkins from our hands. Terrible food and service. Really disappointing.More

Unfriendly service & mediocre food. A real surprise in Melbourne where it is usually difficult to find that unfortunate combination.

We came back to Cafe Insieme after discovering on our Melbourne trip last year. Again we had wonderful service and a delicious breakfast. I can recommend the smashed avo with eggs :-)
