My wife & I celebrated our anniversary and wanted to dine somewhere different. Spoonbill certainly delivered. We chose a number of dishes in a share plate style. The menu had enormous variety & would have something for all tastes. Every dish was full of flavour & very fresh. The service was friendly with the staff happy to make recommendations. I... More

Dined here a few times whilst staying at The Olsen as it was convenient. I must say the service was very slow and the staff not really taking much notice of who needed to be served but eventually when they did serve you it was with a smile. On another positive note the spaghettini was divine.

Didn't take our order. Forgot to bring our wine. Terrible service. Food ordinary. Don't judge restaurant by its looks.

New menu and now basically a share plate restaurant - not a fan of this style. Prawns were the pick of the 3 dishes we had, but why serve 3 prawns as a share plate for two is a mystery to me. Lamb cutlets good, but all plates were very small portions. Risotto lacked flavour. Beers are $10+ per bottle.... More

Had to ask for drinks 3 times, and the meal was grossly overpriced ( $307) i.e.. 4 pieces of Pork Belly @ 5 cm. square $116.00

This place has amazing food and the atmosphere is great too. Recently had a work dinner here and it tasted so good! The staff were also really nice and friendly! Thoroughly enjoyed it!! One of the best places to eat in Victoria. From the chicken tacos to the beef cheeks, all fantastic!!

Very nice place, good for drinks and tapas. We wanted dinner and didn't feel like share plates, so it wasn't for us. Very difficult to park, so take the train or tram. Also very expensive for the tiny tapas sized meals. Lovely waitress.

Mediterranean style food and live the shared plates concept. Ate here because we arrived late from airport and too tired to go out looking for somewhere to eat. Cafe style on the street so doesn't feel like a hotel restaurant.

Staying in Chapel Street

Neighborhood Profile
Chapel Street
Seek and ye shall find! Prahran is a treasure hunter’s paradise of vintage stores, upscale boutiques and emporiums. Chapel Street is a one-stop shop with specialty stores selling just about everything. The famous Chapel Street Bazaar has so many curious and vintage knick-knacks that you will feel as if you're in a huge and busy museum. By contrast, at the northern end of Chapel Street, South Yarra and Windsor cater to high-end designer labels and exclusive boutiques. The community flocks to Prahran’s organic markets as a Saturday ritual, while art and film students leaf through vinyl LPs on Greville Street. The gay community also has a strong presence here. Prahran’s heritage buildings like the Reads Emporium and Prahan arcade offer a grand sense of scale and history. No matter your interest, come feel the pulse of one of Melbourne’s most loved precincts.
