So. I recently stayed at the Adina next door and my colleague has been here twice in 2 weeks and raved about the service and how attentive one if the staff members Shane was. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting him and I have to say the service and meal were very average. I ordered a Vietnamese salad advertised... More

Spent 7 weeks in the city on a project. Wish we found this place sooner. Had a few lunches here great atmosphere and brilliant food.

Great atmosphere and really break food. Had breakfast here but the lunch and dinner menu choices looked just as good as the breakfast choices. Plus the happy hour and espresso martinis 👌🏼

Stopped in here to escape the rain after a long day at the Queen's Victoria Market and grabbed nice window seats to kick back and relax. The service was friendly and the food was excellent.

Relaxed vibe and you enter and the staff were friendly. The food menu is not overloaded with an unnecessary selection. We both ordered the Angus porterhouse (medium) , which was cooked near perfectly. A delicious meal in nice surroundings and reasonably priced for food and drinks.

Being at the bottom of a well known hotel, you don't expect to find a place that's relaxed & welcoming. Had gone on the advice of an app that said cheap eats - but the app hadn't been updated. They do have specials throughout the day/week including espresso martinis (Melbourne does all things coffee well). Pulled pork taco was delish,... More

This hip urban space in Melbourne's CBD is a welcoming retreat from the cold with its effervescent fit-out, attentive service and creative cuisine.

Queen Street Rescue Restaurant Bar dishes out contemporary Australian fare with unique flavour combinations. The restaurant has a rustic, weathered look about it, from the shabby chic wall panels in white, baby green and lilac hues to the long timber tables with their bucolic-style wooden chairs.

Great food, wine and some old fashioned table service where the wait staff do more than just take your order but make you feel like you've been coming here for years!

We also cater for those needing a Gluten Free menu!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
