Have heard about this coffee place for quite some time. The small space was crowded with a lot of people. The coffee was very good and they served a few number of biscuits as well. For me, I bought the almond cookies. It goes well with my coffee and tummy was satisfied!

Attitude of counter person was appalling - condescending and very unfriendly. Was hoping the coffee would be worth the demeanour but it wasn't

Melbourne is the coffee capital of Australia and this is definitely one of the reasons why. Daily blends, well roasted, friendly service. Small area but find a stool and enjoy.

Maybe the build up was too big that I expected to be wowed by their coffee but left very underwhelmed. Dont get me wrong the coffee is good but with so many cafes in Melbourne this would not be a coffee place that I would say is a must go to

This review is for the Market Lane Coffee at the QVM deli venue... Love these guys so much, they're efficient, make the best coffee in Melbourne and always remember my name. They aren't over-the-top or over-friendly but they're caring people who make you feel welcome. Just what you need before you've had your morning coffee! Also love that they ask... More

Market lane coffee has a few stores inside and alongside the Queen Vic Markets. Guaranteed the stronger coffee on Melb.

This little corner located in the Deli section of the Queen Victoria Market is one of the gems that we discovered when we were in Melbourne recently. You can't miss this, they roast their own beans or something so you can smell this as soon as you're nearby.

Really excellent coffee fairly easy to find on the opposite side of the street from the flower seller and slightly further away from Elizabeth street than the entrance to the food hall. Convenient stop before (and after) the Queen Vic markets!!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
