We went here for a quick meal as it was close to the Mecure hotel. We had no expectations and we were shocked how good it was. It was traditional Chinese food and it was excellent. The soft shell crab was so fresh and delicious. This restaurant doesn't look like anything from the street but it was excellent I would... More

I have been to this restaurant few times and I enjoy the food. CY has favourites of food, the XO fried rice is my favourite. I recommend this place for good food.

Excellent Korean restaurant with good friendly service - no need to wave for service as the waitstaff are right on the ball. Setting is nice and very clean. Plenty of food and drinks choices on the menu. Everything there is done with a smile. Mary dropped a chopstick and got it replaced, before it hit the ground - amazing. We'll... More

Our third visit as a couple to this place. Never once disappointed us. Food quality is always good. Serving size is big. They have some good daily promotion. For $8 you get a great meal and a soda. If you need a takeaway container. It's gonna cost 80 cents. Staffs are friendly but not all speak good English, but enough... More

This would have been the best seafood curry laska I have ever eaten. So full of fresh seafood and the curry laska soup was so tasty and plenty of it for $12

We came across this place whilst looking for somewhere to eat for our party of eight people. The food was exceptional as was the price and as an example a very large plate of seafood nasi was $10. The meals were on the table in less than 10 minutes.

We had a really good eating experience here. Although small it is a very comfortable and efficient little restaurant. The food was excellent and I especially enjoyed the steamed vegetables. I would certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a cheap Asian meal.

I went here because it was the closest to the Jasper Hotel, and it was a cold, hungry evening for me. I ordered "dry noodles with beef" and for $9.2, it was a decent price. It is your standard Asian menu, not that it is a bad thing. You can come here for a quick fix of hot, Asian stir-fries.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
