I've had coffee here a couple of times, but had never eaten a meal here until today, what a delicious decision I made. The special was salmon over black rice salad with broccolini and all ingredients perfectly cooked, not always true with salmon even here in Melbourne. Highly recommend.

Nice place in the center of Melbourne, one of many excellent cafes, but great Spanish style, tasty food and awesome coffee!

Always visit when in Melbourne. Love the lane way feel, good coffee and never had a bad breakfast here. Watching the world go by this is the perfect place for street photography. My camera is always ready 😊

Lorca was one of many cafes but I think we made the right choice. Our Z'Aatar spiced brekkie was nicely served w/ sourdough toast, avo and perfectly poached eggs. Coffee was good too. I'd go back and enjoy another sit out in this alley way, for a morning meal near Fed. Square and Flinders Station.

Found this great spot before an epic shopping spree in Melbourne. Wonderful service, food and most importantly the COFFEE....... The scrambled eggs were great and not too buttery as we experience in Perth. Well Done.

A very busy cafe, good choices on menu, very friendly and quick service. Price wise, competitive with other cafes along this laneway. Quality of food excellent.

Arrived with only 30 min to spare before I had to attend my course in French Conversation. My order was taken immediately by a friendly young man. The vibe is good, the music doesn't interfere with the hustle and bustle of this great laneway. My French toast was cooked to perfection and I also noticed that the table next to... More

We love visiting this restaurant; the food is hearty, tasty, and as fresh as can be. It's a noisy bustling Melbourne café and brilliant. As out of towners we don't get there as much as we would like but ALWAYS have several visits when staying in town. Recommend highly.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
