Me and my wife come come to this spot every time we visit Melbourne. As big fans of Mexican cuisine this ticks all the boxes. Nice, relaxed atmosphere with delicious food and great bar options. Must start with their corn!

a friend had recommended this restaurant - it was terrific - we ate there two nights in a row. No bookings except for groups so sometimes you have to wait.

Amazing dishes with enough variety to please everyone. Had the best fish of my life in this venue but if you don't like spice, don't go! Small noisy venue but great for a shared meal.

A place I have wanted to visit for some time. Great to get a phone call back after being put on a waiting list but I wish we hadn't of bothered. I hate expressing my opinions on TripAdvisor but the team at mamasita has pushed me to have to. Service was quick and food was tasty. My 2nd taco did... More

Ate here tonight and we loved it. Pulled pork tamales were excellent. Guac excellent. Red sangria excellent. Not too expensive given everything we ordered. We live in SoCal so eat quality mexican all the time. Would definitely go here again.

We had the distinct pleasure of revisiting one of our favourite restaurants recently and as usual we were not disappointed! The food is fresh, hot and spicy, with great food and good company it was definitely a lunch to sing praises for.

Went with group of friends on a Sat night. Waited out the 1.5 hour wait and though the food was yum, (taco was definitely my favourite!) I probably wouldn't go again as the wait is annoying and I have eaten better Mexican (in Mexico / USA) so if you have eaten in those countries it won't compare. But if not... More

Wow! Walked past this place earlier in the day & never saw it. No bookings unless you are a group. Had read about the queues but when we arrived there were only 2 couples in front of us then we found out that people had left their number and were called when a table was free! I think we only... Great food, refreshing flavours. Service was very efficient and friendly. No street front presence, so can be easy to miss.

Visited on the 2/10 and were visiting Melbourne from interstate- thought we would grab and early dinner before seeing a show, walked up the stairs and waited to be seated for a few minutes (there was no sign to say to wait) with at least 5-7 available tables and not having visited the restaurant previously we decided to take a... Hola Cina552, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It's really disappointing to hear how you were treated on your last visit. Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
