WOW.. can't believe I had missed this one. This is a lovely English style pub with some great real Ales on tap. It is a popular pub and finding a seat, especially for a group can be difficult. If your planning a visit make a reservation. I wouldn't recommend it for a casual drink on your own, but would be... More

A gorgeous little pub right in the city, lovely bar food and lots of fabulous beers, lovely atmosphere and a great place to go . Wish it was open a Sunday, when I come to Melbourne for the weekend.

Fabulous bar and great food, well worth a visit. Only thing is the staff can be a bit abrupt and they have strange opening hours - closed on a Sunday!!

Great, small but very busy at times, niche tavern on Collins Street. Friendly staff giving fantastic service of magnificent beers ales, stout etc. Tasty meals also. Didn't want to share this too much, would have preferred to keep this one to myself. Definitely one to enjoy for the occasional quiet drink and meal (before it gets too busy!)

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
