We took the lunch ride and it was quite charming, between the food, the ride, and Joe's Robin Williams-esque patter. I wouldn't say the food was the most amazing but it was good and the overall experience was excellent.

Our party of four enjoyed the food and beverages immensely but found our cubicle a little "squishy" aka very very intimate. So if you don't mind the close proximity of your friends or family, you're good to go. Also, as I have lived in Melbourne...More

Chef John and waiter Juan took excellent care of us, and even organised an impromptu singing of happy birthday, which was lovely as all the guests joined it. The service is top notch and it is a lovely dinner experience.

We enjoyed the trip around Melbourne on rails. The interior decor was well done with wood and fabric. The seating was comfortable and the ride not rough or jerky. The food was good considering the limited space the chef has to work with. The staff...More

Yes bookings are essential The tramcars have limited seating. We tried booking a month in advance for either dinner or lunch. It was fully booked and we were on a cancellation list. Hope this helps.
