It has been a while since I've been to Bacash Restaurant but I had a good friend in Melbourne from overseas and he was keen to try some seafood. We managed to get a booking and were welcomed and shown to our table - restaurant had good feel to it and the service was very friendly. Michael Bacash, the owner.... More

I took my daughter here for dinner before dropping her off for O week at Melbourne Uni. Love the location in one of Melbourne's chicest neighbourhoods. Long and narrow dining room with wood panels and mirrors was inviting. The place was packed but not too noisy. Friendly and efficient service. We enjoyed oysters, stuffed zucchini flowers, grilled rock ling fish... More

Well, sadly our second visit here will be our last. The food was good. The spaghetti marinara was noticeably smaller than our previous visit but still tasted fine. The large selection of seafood on a menu is rare in Melbourne and was appreciated. Table service was great. Our waiter was very excellent. She was particularly good at recommending glasses of... Our aim at Bacash is to make people feel welcome and we pride ourselves not only on our food and service but especially on our hospitality. My version of the facts are as follows 1...Koutat and her partner were sitting at the table adjacent to the table I was sitting at with my wife and another person. 2… I didn’t... More

We were looking for good seafood on our last night in Melbourne and Bacash certainly did not disappoint. We enjoyed fresh oysters, calamari to start followed by great whiting simply grilled or in batter with delicious dauphinoise potatoes, salad and fresh beans. All perfectly cooked and accompanied by some great white wines which were recommended! Nice sophisticated atmosphere with very... More

Their Friday nights allow BYO, a rare find in Melbourne now. The place was bustling, whilst waiting for our table, we enjoyed the view of the park at a table outside, a waiter was happy to serve us our champagne. The service was excellent through out the night, attentive and friendly. The presentation of each dish was very good and... More

Four of us dined at Bacash and we can highly recommend this superb fish orientated restaurant. Every dish we ordered was beautifully plated and the flavours perfect. To start three had the zuchcini flowers stuffed with ricotta & haloumi, and I selected the quail which was two grilled breasts and the most delicious spiced quail "Bisteya" - a tiny flakey... More

We visited Bacash on 19 December (Monday) The restaurant was nearly full at 7pm. Michael Bacash is becoming (if not already) one of Melbourne's finest chefs. He still works in the kitchen, in chef's whites, is cordial and a very numerous host. Prices are not cheap but the quality of the menu is not cheap either. We all very much... More

Nice setting, excellent food with some very interesting menu items. Price was on the high side. They comfortably accommodated our group of 15.

Went to Bacash for a pre-Xmas fish lunch with an old friend. Food, wine and service were excellent. Started with Oysters (good but not great - a little milky) and Vietnamese Crab Salad (outstanding salad). Both of us then followed with garfish with a parmesan crumb. Truly wonderful dish - the best fish I have had for some time. My... More

My daughter and I dined here tonight and both were disappointed with not only the food but the service also. ( I dine in restaurants all over Australia regularly for business) Seared scallop entree was extremely bland with the scallops lacking any flavor. Mains were nothing the write home about. The service was extremely poor. Plates were not even cleared... More
