We came in for the bakery and stayed for breakfast. A very diverse menu featuring all sorts of creative and fresh items. I had a "Special" clay pot poached egg, chorizo, and black beans. Excellent! Plus, my coffee was great. My wife had another selection, the special spinach frittata and tea. Then, we got a take-away sandwich and some great... More

Food and drinks very good. Nice range. Service was slow and we got our food before our drinks but may have just been the staff of the day

These guys produce the best range of extremely high quality - and different to your boring run-of-the-mill - bakery products you are likely to come across in Australia. If you're visiting Hobart and you don't visit this place then you are missing out on a unique experience and food you will never find anywhere else. Simple as that!

Freshly baked goods of the finest produce - the best bakery I have ever visited. A treat for the senses and a must visit when you go to Hobart.

Absolutely loved the location and building. Service was excellent. Food was amazing. It so nice to have options other than eggs on toast. We had a fritatta and the biggest almond croissant I've ever seen. Can't wait to go back.

Arrived just on closing but welcomed warmly. Breads are crusty and delicious and plenty of sweet treats to tempt. Dining in options looked very tempting too. The locals are in on the secret-word spreads-as does the delicious raspberry jam.

If you like a little of atmosphere, say a little taste of Britain, then a lazy breakfast at the Battery Point bakery of Jackman & McRoss is for you. Great coffee & food to get you going for the day.

This place is fine. Looks the goods and a plentiful selection of savoury and sweet treats. It looks though as if most choices are pre-made and then heated if you're eating in. The food was OK without being inspiring and the coffee was OK too. OK seems to be the word. I prefer fresh selections made to order. But it's... More

Jackson and mcross was the best meal we had while visiting Tassie. There meals were huge just like there cakes and pastries. The food was delicious and five star. Staff were superb. Highly recommended.
