Obviously a very popular cafe with fresh bread, cakes, jams etc. The pies and sausage rolls also looked amazing, but the other half said I could not have one for breakfast. (Boo) The service is good. Some parking around the corner made things easy. My first coffee was cold so sent it back, but second time round, nailed it. Revisit?... More

Fantastic breakfast here on a Wednesday morning before driving off to the Kettering ferry terminal to go to Bruny island. The buttermilk and Raisin loaf was divine. My suggestion here would be to just focus on brekky with breads and butter stayer than cooked foods. Eggs are the same everywhere but the quality and make of the bread makes the... More

Jackman and McRoss is just renowned for their beautiful food. Coffee is really good too. If I had one criticism to make, and it's not a bad one, it would be that the portions of their cakes are too big. The only thing to do in this case is grab a 'doggie bag' and take the rest home!!

It was lovely! The staff are nice, the breakkie was delicious, and the coffee was great. I will visit this shop again when I am in Hobart.

Jackman and McRoss have a great range of bakery items to take away or order in the cafe. I visit each time I am in Hobart. Great area for a walk around also.

I've just eaten the best breakfast of my entire life. Salmon & Avocado on a Rosti made with onions, cheese and horseradish sauce. Next time you're in Tassie make this a priority!! Oh and it came with a freshly baked baguette with homemade strawberry jam. Staff also a total and utter delight. I shall be back.

Wasn't hungry till I chanced upon the cake display, delicious. Was compelled to make a return visit to make sure I wasn't mistaken, I wasn't . As close to France as you get.

We tried the potato rosti with salmon and avocado. It was great. The potato rosti is filled with herbs and well baked. Good serving of salmon and a generous serving of avocado at the price of $14.50. We have also tried the goat fetta, sun-dried tomatoes quiche. The goat cheese is not too heavy and the quiche is light and... More

In a word - delicious! So, so good! If you eat with your eyes, then I was won over just by looking in the display window. Pastries were super flaky, buttery and amazing! Will be back on my next Tassie trip.
