The staff at Zum are in no way over the top with the welcome or the smiles but the service is satisfactory and the food is GREAT. We were six for breakfast and without excepetion, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Everyone ordered something different and everyone was pleased with their choice. This is great food, if the staff were a... More

We went hear for breakfast before hitting Salamanca markets. They were understandably very busy, the owner/manager was locked and very calm and collected despite all the multitasking, the waitresses were looking quite flustered from the mass amounts of customers, but the busyness didn't effect the food, it was delicious! We left feeling full and satisfied.

Had a breakfast meeting with some friends who are really busy, so a central location in Hobart was essential. Easy parking - TIP : put money in voucher parking and takes the time from 8.30, not the time you are there. Coffees were great - not to hot so you could really experience the flavours. I had eggs Benedict and... More

We unfortunately chose this place for lunch, on a recent visit to Hobart. The wait staff were friendly enough, however not very well trained. There seemed to be some confusion at the bar over our drinks order, a glass of Pinot Noir and a beer. The waitress returned to our table with a glass of Pinot Gris and advised my... More

Eggs on toast really missed the mark. Eggs were missing any type of flavor and were very watery. So watery the toast was inedible, as it was soggy. The bearnaise sauce on the potato rosti was very buttery and looked like a slice of cheese (firm not runny)

This is my Salamanca fav. Always a great breakfast and the coffee and service is first rate. No need to book, just drop in - you won't be disappointed. Go where the locals go.

This is a cafe we had been to several times before and returned as I was looking forward to having a breakfast burrito, unfortunately there menu is now very limited and my breakfast was very average and not hot very disappointed.

Used to love this place however on a recent visit that all changed. The menu has been striped back and no longer has anything good. In addition to poor choices the eggs Benedict that I ordered was extremely disappointing cold toast cold Benedict sauce and overdone eggs. Zum you need to take a look at what's going out and improve... More

I had a meal here August 2015 and was very impressed. Since then it appears the restaurant has changed owners or management (?). Staff do not seem to be trained in hospitality or service. Drinks were not replenished and we had to move our empty plates to another table as got sick of waiting for them to be cleared. Why... More

I had all the best intentions of taking a photo of my meal to post on here however we were so hungry and the food looked and smelt great that we soon forgot. We certainly weren't disappointed by the quality, quantity and taste of our meals. Staff were friendly. A longer wait for food than we wanted but not overly... More
