This is my Salamanca fav. Always a great breakfast and the coffee and service is first rate. No need to book, just drop in - you won't be disappointed. Go where the locals go.

This is a cafe we had been to several times before and returned as I was looking forward to having a breakfast burrito, unfortunately there menu is now very limited and my breakfast was very average and not hot very disappointed.

Used to love this place however on a recent visit that all changed. The menu has been striped back and no longer has anything good. In addition to poor choices the eggs Benedict that I ordered was extremely disappointing cold toast cold Benedict sauce and overdone eggs. Zum you need to take a look at what's going out and improve... More

I had a meal here August 2015 and was very impressed. Since then it appears the restaurant has changed owners or management (?). Staff do not seem to be trained in hospitality or service. Drinks were not replenished and we had to move our empty plates to another table as got sick of waiting for them to be cleared. Why... More

I had all the best intentions of taking a photo of my meal to post on here however we were so hungry and the food looked and smelt great that we soon forgot. We certainly weren't disappointed by the quality, quantity and taste of our meals. Staff were friendly. A longer wait for food than we wanted but not overly... More

Unfortunately one of the best sites in Salamanca now seems to be run by people that do not seem to know much about running a cafe nor take much pride in what they do. Typos on the menu, shoddily printed out table numbers hacked into a shape resembling a square. Limited & uninspiring menu. We had the chicken Caesar salad... More

I cannot understand why a great place to eat can suddenly turn bad The food and atmosphere has plummeted The food has gone from restaurant quality to pub food with the same price tag The staff had no personality not even a smile We were pointed to find a seat We Will not return return We frequented at least once... We had to go looking for service and found staff chatting around the cash register. Once ordered, coffees came out one at a time, food arrived soon enough but was tepid and poorly presented, service was friendly enough but inattentive.

For several years Zum has been our early morning cafe of choice for breakfast if we stay overnight in Hobart. Two months ago we were surprised to have sub-standard service but ignored it as a one-off. Two days ago we went there again and the service was appalling, until you go to pay for your bill and it's all smiles... More

Waited an hour for breakfast!!! Ordered the big breakfast and the mushrooms were curried which was not stated on the menu. Then a couple next to us who ordered the same meal didn't have curried mushrooms. Very disappointed as it's always been a favourite. Will not be returning. Safe were lovely.
