We went there for a family luncheon, two children and three adults and as a group we were disappointed. The food was only average and the staff was "OK". I understand that the Buffet and Coffee Shop is not the highlight of Wrest Point dining but I had expected better from a place that is touted as "classy".

I did not have to go far to choose this restaurant, as when on a diet, a buffet gives great choice of food. There was lots - roast meats, Chinese food, salads, steamed veggies, and a huge range of desserts. Since I am attempting to avoid rich sauces, carbohydrates, sweets, I chose roast meats, salads and steamed vegetables. For dessert... More

Yummy crisp croissants, and mini danish. Fruit. Cheese. Yogurts. Waffles. Jams, honeys, cereals of all description. Juices, coffees...teas... THE place for breakfast.

We ate the Buffet at dinner. Absolutely the biggest waste of money eating out in my life. The roast beef was dried out. The smoked salmon was as salty as anchovies. There were some unique prepared salad selections but nothing for those who wish to make thier own salad. The porterhouse stroganoff looked so overcooked I didn't even try. The... More

The buffet and coffee shop at Wrest Point is the kind of joint I can see Homer Simpson getting stuck into the bountiful yet mundane fare, plate after plate. I went to a 21st here on Saturday night and the atmosphere was sadly lacking for a festive occasion. But if you want to pig out for around $35 and stuff... More

Only visited Wrest Point for breakfast..at the hefty price of $28 for the buffet breakfast we were sadly disappointed. Fresh fruit was nice..other than that the menu has hardly kept pace with modern fare. Bacon and poached eggs scarce, scrambled eggs like leather, barely cooked tomatoes. Throw in some tinned baked beans and a few sausages and that is it... More

Poor selection of food and over priced for what it is. Apart from the deserts which looked and tasted very good, the rest of the food looked like it had been prepared in 1980 and left to simmer. Poor quality and preparation.
