The Drunken Admiral was recommended by our hotel as “something you will want to experience in Hobart” and it sure did; the décor is replicated in old sailing ship style. Nooks and crannies are everywhere. Nautical memorabilia hangs from the ceiling and walls. Now, the...More

We have dines at the Drunken Admiral for many years. The meals have never failed to deliver and the atmosphere is a must for all visitors to Hobart. Book and ask for a quiet area for those suffering with poor hearing. A FUN night.

We had been told about the Drunken Admiral by various people and our curiosity got the better of us. We had already eaten and were just looking for one last drink before bed. The bar staff were very friendly and welcoming and before long we...More

We always eat here when we visit Hobart. Another great meal today - fresh and tasty Tassie salmon. Sultan's wok was hugely delicious. Melt-in-the mouth salt and pepper calamari, and they are helpful and accommodating with non-onion requirements (thank you!) Good beer choice and extensive...More

This was the first Resturant we went to after we flew in from the UK. Gorgeous, fresh fish and excellent table service and advice by Rachel . Plenty of gluten free options too which we loved. I totally recommend coming here.

We ordered a few options on the menu and some were a hit and some were a miss unfortunately. Hit - the chowder was tasty and creamy! Miss- the coconut prawns had no seasoning and no coconut flavour and were quite expensive for only 5...More
