This was my second visit to Drunken Admiral, and it was just as good as the first. I chose the Salmon served in the terrine and it was absolutely magnificent. We took the chance that they would be able to fit us in on a Friday night at 6.30pm and luckily enough they could. I would suggest you... read more

This place is great! Food was amazing wine selection fantastic and the way it is set up is very cool! We loved the ship and pirate themed idea. Salmon on hot rock was spectacular and also the mixed grill washed down with bloody mary oyster shots were perfect!! You have to go here👍👍

The atmosphere is nautical, but it was a bit too much like a sailor's bar. Very small spaces so it was rather loud. I had the Tassie salmon steak, which was salmon wrapped in bacon with a tomato sauce. The sardines in the sauce caught me off guard - I prefer salmon as my fish to avoid 'fishy' taste, which... Although clearly popular with groups of young people for its funky 'theme', we found this restaurant very disappointing. The food was adequate but overpriced and worst of all, our wine glasses clearly needed another pass through the dishwasher with clear lip-prints still visible from the previous users. We asked the waitress to replace them which she did cheerfully but we... More

I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant and was so glad they had a table free when we didn't book. Hint: make a booking as it's extremely popular! We ordered the seafood chowder and to our disappointment, it didn't come with bread, we had to order it on the side but it came quickly. We shared the seafood grill which was huge.... More

Great restaurant if you like fish, however other menu options available although limited choice. Great atmosphere and quirky decor with a nautical focus. Very child friendly and infant seating available

You could be put off by the themed decor but don't be! This place has great food & incredibly fast service. We had the grilled skewer seafood & the tasting plate. Both exceptional. The location is wonderful right on the waterfront. Recommend you have dinner here when in Hobart!

We called in on Thursday 4th. February and they were flat out so we had to make a reservation for the next night. This restaurant is so popular that they have two sittings , one at 6.00pm and the 2nd. at 8.00pm. Food is excellent and priced accordingly however I felt that the wines were a little expensive. Don't let... More

You walk into an old world nautical themed area. So first impression is good. The service is prompt, attentive and friendly. The menu and wine list has something of interest for most people. We (4) all had two courses of seafood. Being in Tasmania our expectations were very high on the quality of their seafood. On this occasion the food... More
