For a quick feed and drink this place will suit your needs. May have to wait for a table at busy times, inside our outside.

This is a bakery style cafe with a good selection of savoury and sweet slices and lots of bread. Good coffee and hot chocolate.

Our visit was a late lunch around 2pm. No problems with service or getting a seat indoors. Even though it was past the lunch rush, there was still a wide range of pies and pastries available. Reasonably priced stop and something that is quick to grab, eat and keep moving along.

Most folks are in Strahan to either go on a Gordon River cruise or the West Coast railway, so a quick early-morning brekkie is a required start to their day. And Banjos certainly delivers this. Fast, friendly staff, a good choice of brekkie options and the food is delivered to your table really quickly. Naturally you can also drop in... More

Banjo's is an Australlian favourite for good reason, and especially at this great location near the fountain. Good coffee, tasty pitas and free newspapers. Every town loves them.

At 45 MINUTES it must be the Longest wait for a mediocre coffee anywhere in Australia!!!!! People both sides of the counter simply not coping and visibly stressed. When finally arrived, order was wrong. Piss-poor service. Avoid if you wish to start your day in a good mood.

Spinach and ricotta roll was excellent but the wait for the coffee was unreasonably long - nearly an hour from order to delivery. Reading previous reviews this is not uncommon ... maybe it's time to look at their systems. The coffee was nothing special so not worth the wait. Will not be returning.

I am all for employing young people, however to employ youngsters on the busiest day of the week with minimal guidance is silly.. 30 min for 3 coffees and a tea is just unacceptable. Food is fresh and tasty, shame I didn't have anything to wash it down..

I’ve been coming to Tasmania (and Hobart) for nearly 15 years now, some 30 odd trips. One of my favourite places for breakfast was Banjos...but not any more since they don’t do breakfast. What a shame.

long wait for coffee but it was worth it as the coffee was excellent. Space inside limited but plenty of tables outside for enjoyment on a sunny day.
