Every time I come to Hobart I try to visit the Shamrock for at least one meal. With this trip we ended up visiting 3 times within a week... On previous visits I'd eaten in the bar and while enjoying the atmosphere, trying to get a table can be a chore due to the pub's popularity. This time we opted... More

Very tasty menu, always enjoy whatever I choose, at very reasonable prices. I never go anywhere else, when in Hobart

Friendly ambience, excellent service, 'traditional' bar area as well as lounge / bistro. And the $12 meal range is real! We had a 200g steak (cooked as asked), parma (just the right size) and a glass of wine each for $34 ... BUT it is so popular that booking ahead is advised.

We had family visiting last week and had to choose somewhere child friendly , my brother had visited Hobart a week prior and he recommended the Shamrock to us . We booked in even though it was Thursday and we really didnt think it would be busy, that was a laugh the place was packed ,and we saw so many... More

Can't go past the Shamrock for value for money - honest pub grub, no frills though made myself and my fellow diners very happy! Kid friendly with the typical options and nice warm fire in Winter,

Not normally a fan of pub meals however this place is brilliant. Great menu with interesting choices at low prices. Open fire for winter warmth. Drinks at pub prices. Actually ate there three times during a weeks stay, so that should tell you something! Place gets very busy so book if you don't want to miss out. Within walking distance... More

Nice little place for lunch, food is good value, tastes great and affordable. Food was perfectly cooked, cheesecake was made to perfection, the only fault I could find was that we were seated right at the front of the bar, so we were surrounded by people who were waiting to be served at the bar. I would recommend this place.

I was there with the couple of friends. The ambiance is amazing, cozy and calm fireplace everything you want. I ordered a steak and it was huge. Not only it was huge but also delicious. The staff were nice and friendly as well. Finally in my experience I usually pay a lot more for a meal like that.

The rest of the family were away in Queensland and I felt like a roast lunch. Not wanting to cook for one I went to the Shamrock. The roast lamb was great, veg terrific, sauce good and all this for $10.00 As Molly said do yourself a favour and go for a first class no frills roast Top value and... More

Came here for dinner on Sunday the 10th. I ordered the fish of the day (grilled barramundi). When our food came out they had given me the wrong meal. The lady who we told about the meal was very apologetic and offered me a bowl of chips while I wait. My meal came and was really lovely & the waitress... More
