We came across Preachers in the Hobart Urban Walkabout guide and what a find! Preachers is a quirky and fun little cafe/bar that is tucked away behind Salamanca. It's worth taking the time to hunt it out and you'll be glad that you did. There's a great range of craft beers and ciders to please any hipster. The food was... More

Just a couple of minutes walk away from the Salamanca strip, Preachers is a creative space to chill out and enjoy the impressive selection of beers they have to offer. Service is great, happy and laid-back. The outdoor space is where the creativity is truly expressed! It has a fair amount of seating and there is a converted bus which... More

I love a good burger and heard preachers is the place. I was extremely disappointed in my burger. I literally had to take it back and double check they gave me a proper patty it was so small. Of the hundreds of burgers I've had, preachers belongs in the bottom 5. Seems like it could be a good place to... More

Preachers was a treat. Was super excited to find vegan menu options. Love the bus and cost fire places. Good selection of craft beers. Nice vibes here. Nice to see young couples here with their babies!

Had a lovely crunchy chicken burger and mulled cider (yum!), burgers priced well but drinks a bit on the pricy side but worth the money

It was nice to find a unique watering hole so close within the Hobart area during our recent stay. Beautiful old building, retro tunes, cosy couches, great beers and wine, and the best beer garden I have seen in Hobart. Make sure you sit back and have a drink within the old bus in the backyard!

Just a really good place for a drink and some casual food. Really good range of drinks, including lots of wine by the glass, and burgers were just what we needed. Seriously crowded though on a Saturday night, so be prepared to wait for a spot outside in the warmth of a summer evening.

This is certainly a nice change of pace from the usual pubs closer to the waterfront and the "clubs" that Hobart has to offer. Can't speak for the food here but the beer is priced the same as most places in town but with a bigger selection of crafts and oddities. During the summer as other reviewers have said, it... More

Really cool place, tucked away in a tiny street in battery point, great atmosphere, great music, great food, great choice of beers and wine. I had a mad lemonade (gin, lemons and some other stuff. Yum) and chicken burger and the bar man come chef made my husband a special lamb and Tzatziki burger (that wasn't on the menu his... More

Succulent burgers, decent beer battered chips! Below average customer service; waitress was 'too busy' to serve while writing/drawing on the chalkboard also was gossiping about another customer after a phone conversation because they asked if they were open. Overall would go again for burgers alone!
