This cafe was very busy. The breakfast menu and service was good. Reasonably priced and some good cake options too

Hubby and I decided to have breakfast out with our six year old and we went to Ginger Brown... Wonderful service and the incredible girls/guys remember what we usually drink. They don't have a specific kids menu but they are always happy to serve our little girl just the bacon she loves...mind you we have to keep a good watch... More

Everything I have had has been delicious from the egg dishes to the salads, particularly the duck salad. Coffee and desserts are a nice way to complete a meal.

Was looking for a decent cafe in Hobart for breakfast. Found this online and it was the right choice. A cold but sunny morning was the perfect day to be there. Sitting in the warm sun having the most excellent of breakfasts. Could have chosen many others that would have been just as tasty. The coffee was excellent too, a... More

My wife and I came here most days while we were visiting Hobart. The coffee is some if the best in Hobart. However, I find coffee in Tasmania very weak, so we have to ask for triple shot in order for the coffee to taste the same as the main-land. Overall the experience was lovely.

We stopped in and had a couple of hot sandwiches for lunch on a cold day (all the days were cold!!). One was Pork Belly and the other, lamb. They were totally delicious. The place was humming and the staff were really hospitable. Because it was so busy we did have to sit at the back of the restaurant., somewhere... More

We went on a Friday morning and it was packed ! Difficult to get a table. Our meals were delicious. Lots of options on the menu. Good coffee. Lovely staff. Would go back next time I am back in Tassie.

We walked along the rivulet from town to find this little jewel of a cafe. Despite being packed out, staff were prompt, warm and welcoming, and the menu is fantastic. We had house-made crumpets and the rice pudding, both were hearty. Pretty good coffee too. The walk back to town was as sweet and warm as our brunch! Highly recommend.

Driving along looking for a fresh hot coffee to warm the bones and stumbled across this little suburban gem. Quite a buzz when you walk through the front door. Like stepping back in time. Food is great friendly staff.

Ginger Brown is a very nice place, located between downtown Hobart and Fern Tree / Cascade breweries. They have a good range of breakfast/lunch dishes and OK coffee. The only large drawback is the high noise level, all walls and ceiling is of concrete and when the place is full it's almost unbearable to be there, a calm conversation is... More
